I was wondering if anyone knew of the best way I could go about putting the save file I found from here: https://digiex.net/threads/pokemon-...wnload-ready-to-distribute-on-emulator.15233/ onto a real eReader cartridge. My copy is US and when I backed up the save off it the file size was 128 in size if that info can help any. I have access to an R4 with sd card compatibility. I want to know what the best method would be assuming there is one.

That is overkill

Link up two vbas
1-instance-) Pokemon
2-instance-) eReader with save

Fin.

I used all eReader cards that were important for battlenetwork 4 that way and exported the ereader save files
this will work here too.

(You can even use irl hardware and a flashcard running the ereader rom + save)

EDIT:
Or use an AR Code
https://www.supercheats.com/gameboy...4365/ar-codes/eon-ticket-and-southern-island/
The reason I'm going with this method is because I wanna use my actual gen 3 games with the eReader, as well as have the save on my eReader to help friends I know who still play Gen 3 a lot. I understand that an emulator is way easier but it just isn't helpful for what I want to do.

Then use a flashcard.

That is evenpossible on irl hardware.

You could write back to a irl ereader too, via cartsave (maybe ?)
(but don't quote me on that, as this approach is basically creating your own gasoline, to drive your car)

I think Game streaming should work like this.... Local Hardware able the run the game fine, game engine and common assets stored locally, all FMV and music and textures could be streaming

also @BigOnYa im making some progress on my gdevelop project, implemented various mechanics

They went all in on streaming, should have been more of a hybrid approach

Or free government supplied high speed internet be nice also. Like Obama care. Xdqwerty that's cool, its time consuming but rewarding once done or playable, to see what you've made from scratch. Animations take forever, but worth it.

@BigOnYa, although the bullets are a bit buggy

    @BigOnYa,
and the visual aspect of the game is quite crude (the sprite that looks best is that of the protagonist just because he is a stickman with sunglasses)

  • BigOnYa @ BigOnYa:
There is a bullets behaviour you assign to your character, that makes the code easier, under "behaviours"
  • Xdqwerty @ Xdqwerty:
i meant that when the character is pointing to the right, the bullets spawn where they should, but when he is on the right, they move to the right but the spawn point is incorrect
  • BigOnYa @ BigOnYa:
Itch.io has lots of free assets also. Under the bullets behavior tab, there is a "rotate bullets" option, can try that. Or in the code can try
    - fire bullet Player.X(PlayerDirection)

im taking a break for today anyway

That's cool tho, I'm proud of you going back to it, not giving up. It is difficult at first to learn, but fun once you get the hang of it. I think I've watched every tutorial video there is, but I still struggle sometimes to get stuff to work right. But gotta keep trying dif things, and eventually you will get it right.
