Homebrew I'm using twilight menu++. Can I play a game with someone when they have the game card version and I don't?

Local multiplayer can be played using TWLMenu++, but I don't know if it's possible using TWLMenu++ and an original cartridge.

I'll back up my NSMB cartridge and confirm

Yes, I've done it before with Mario and Sonic at the Olympic Winter Games, and Pokemon Soulsilver (Traded with my friend, he was using a legit game card of HeartGold, I was using TWLMenu)

Some Download Play games will crash the client due to cloneboot being unsupported.
