ROM Hack I need help modding 3ds games

I have tried following tutorials on here but none of them have worked, the game I am trying to mod is Alpha Sapphire on a gamecart. Specifically trying to use the Brendan Brown/Blue skin. I'm on o3ds with gm9 v2.1.1, luma3ds v12.0.1, and b9s 1.4 installed. Everything I have tried leads to long blackscreens then a crash screen in some cases but I haven't been able to get a pic of it. I have tried using ModMoon but that would only launch the base game. Alpha Sapphire isn't the only game I want to mod I just wanted to test the waters with it. Game patching is enabled. Anything will help.

its not a patch file its a folder that replaces the texture files

file won't upload, but just look up "brown/blue brendan mod oras" and it should be the gamebanana link
