Depends on your SD card GB limit. You could have a few emulators with full libraries, you could have stuff like Discord for 3DS; it's pretty much up to you. Recommend you make a backup before you get in too deep.

I recommend getting PKSM of you're into Pokemon, you can get all sorts of cool stuff in your game with it.

Also get Checkpoint Save Manager to back up your games.

Get JKSM to make save backups for any game. JKSM can also max out your 3DS Play Coins with a single click, and delete a save's "secure value" if needed.

I think Checkpoint is better these days, the play coins can be set with play coin setter and Checkpoint is getting active support from Bernardo Giordano.

First things first, get CIAngel and FreeShop, along with JKSM (and PKSM if you are into Pokemon). Next up, just browse FreeShop for apps, since you can get some AMAZING Japanese ones like niconico which is similar to a youtube app, but instead is literally anime videos, vocaloid videos and kitty videos all in one place! After that, just get whatever you feel like!

JKSM is still the best overall, but Checkpoint is really good too. Still, Checkpoint's support doesn't mean much since JKSM doesn't really need any anymore after this long, so it's not exactly a deal breaker...

True. There should be something like a message when people first join explaining that this is not ok as it would seem this isn't the only one that did it, there have been others too, just not at this rate...

Hey guys, don't be so hard on him. I had also done the same thing when I had joined (well not really, they weren't one question but people considered them garbage). Now that he knows he will stop. But @Spongebobplace you should understand that every thread someone makes takes up a lot of space on the server.

ok ill reduce (and use the noob thread) but dosent GBAtemp pay to have unlimited server space and even if they didnt threads take a a small amount of data

No we don't. It costs money, which the 'Temp doesn't get easily. And (not so) small amounts of data add up over time.

Get FreeShop. To set it up you have to enable the "auto download title keys from URL" option in the FreeShop settings then click the QR code button below it, go to that title key site and click the QR code button near "Download encTitleKeys" and scan that QR code in FreeShop. Save and restart and it should load all the games, and let you download (almost) any game you want right from the 3DS.
Also, have a look at FBI's TitleDB, most .cia homebrew is available there.
