I have tried to follow the instructions and somehow I screwed up somewhere big and trust me when I say I just bricked two consoles and am down to two more..

I was following instructions but somehow I can't get the other two to load at all now.

Before I screw up, without linking me to a main page to 'read and git gud' -- would you please spare the time to walk me through the basics of what I'll need to get Xenoblade Chronicles X running with cheats?

I just need a step by step guide that let's me know from baby step to baby step how to set this up before I fry another Wii-U..

I need to know everything from step 0 to step Z. Please?

You bricked a console using cheats? Well first you go to the web browser on wii u and visit a website that has the kenerl enabler. I use loadiine.ovh. Then you pick the kernel one to activate the jgecko. After you enable jgecko, you load the game and then go to your pc utility for jgecko codes (I think a specified trainer exist) Then use it to your heart's content. :P

Hopefully this should make things easier. https://gbatemp.net/threads/xcxgecko-xenoblade-chronicles-x-trainer-gui-using-pygecko.406442/

And cheats shouldn't brick consoles. Is harmless.

You're LITERALLY retarded? You know what literal means right. That's not a term like "crazeballs" that your gen invented. It means you in fact have down syndrome.

Edit: I'm sorry I have 4 teenagers and they say "literally" all the time. Drives me nuts.

Sir, instead of installing cheats, you installed CBHC.
But sweet jesus, it's impossible to brick with cheats. [If you decided to spam entity spawn then i guess your Wii U overheated]

Sorry, but the war for "literally" was lost quite some time ago.

It went some time after "apparently" started to mean more like "I hear by rumour", rather than the original meaning of "self explanatorily seen by the eyes".

You can't expect the language not to change, given old English, middle english etc.

It's a fuzzy awkward screen... I can post pics. And the Wii-U pad stays frozen. Static on the home page and when I push a button everything goes silent. Nothing can be pressed, no music, no noises. The actual screen on the T.V is squiggly. I don't know -what- I did to them both. The games don't load, I thought I did something with the SD card but then an update was attempted when I did the fake GPS, mimicking what I had done to stop updates on the 3DS when suddenly... that. Just I have absolutely no idea.

And after bricking two consoles, wouldn't you judge your 'literal' sense of mind? Maybe not geniuses or Wii-U experts, but certainly those of us focusing on finishing their second Masters. All I know is whatever I've done I've done it well enough for coders with decent knowledge and actual repairmen for Consoles (working at a store that refurbishes, repairs, and 'spruces up' PS2 and below, multi-platform) going.. '' Woman, the heck did you touch? ''

So yes. Literally retarded. Drool, square blocks in star holes. The works. Give me a badge with WTF written across it, place a dunce cap on my head and sit me on a stool in the corner. I touched stuff. ...

Can someone throw me a bone to gnaw on or just help the handicap and do a step by step instructional before I wreck the third one? I know my friends have bets running on it but I'll do it myself if I just have the proper steps, not all that jumbled mess in the OP with links linking to links that link to links that make me download this and that and that and this and that and that and this and that then that with this. My head = maze. You guys are the beacons to help me through the maze. I'm firing a flare gun; help me, for the horde?

@Jayro, I don't see whats so special about the DS ML, its just a DS lite in a phat shell. At least the phat model had louder speakers, whereas the lite has a much better screen.

They probably said "Hey, why not we combine the two together and make a 'new' DS to sell".
  • Veho @ Veho:
It's a DS Lite in a slightly bigger DS Lite shell.

    It's not a Nintendo / iQue official product, it's a 3rd party custom.

Nothing special about it other than it's more comfortable than the Lite

@SylverReZ if you could find a v5 DS ML you would have the best of both worlds since the v5 units had the same backlight brightness levels as the DS Lite unlockable with flashme

    but that's a long shot

i think only the red mario kart edition phat was v5

A woman with no arms and no legs was sitting on a beach. A man comes along and the woman says, "I've never been hugged before." So the man feels bad and hugs her. She says "Well i've also never been kissed before." So he gives her a kiss on the cheek. She says "Well I've also never been fucked before." So the man picks her up, and throws her in the ocean and says "Now you're fucked."

anyways, we need to re-normalize physical media

if i didn't want my games to be permanent, then i'd rent them

Agreed, that why I try to buy all my games on disc, Xbox anyways. Switch games (which I pirate tbh) don't matter much, I stay offline 24/7 anyways.
  • AncientBoi @ AncientBoi:
    I don't pirate them, I Use Them :mellow:. Like I do @BigOnYa 's couch :tpi::evil::rofl2:

@BakerMan - you can still "own" digital media, arguably easier and better than physical since you can make copies and backups, as much as you like.

    The issue is DRM
  • cearp @ cearp:
You can buy drm free games / music / ebooks, and if you keep backups of your data (like documents and family photos etc), then you shouldn't lose the game. but with a disk, your toddler could put it in the toaster and there goes your $60

    :rofl2:
  • cearp @ cearp:
still, I agree physical media is nice to have. just pointing out the issue is drm
  • rqkaiju2 @ rqkaiju2:
i like physical media because it actually feels like you own it. thats why i plan on burning music to cds
  • cearp @ cearp:
It's nice to not have to have a lot of physical things though, saves space
