Hello again. As i said before i am wishing could run android on my switch, and while i am happy with the games i own but i know soon i will have to choose if upgrade to play new games (Mario Odissey..) or wait a little more .

I dont know how many time would take it but anyway we should consider than these tool are created for people, and this people can make whatever they want with them (keep for themself, sell to Nintendo,..)

I will lie if i say i dont pirate some games (all my consoles has homebrew and piracy available) but i wish it take almost 1 or 2 years until we can play pirated games ,as it has happened with ps4 where you can use linux/steam on it but no loader already.
The reason? I wanna the switch be successfull and more and more developers and games be available.

still pointless to stay on a lower system version, and besides, even if an exploit comes from this, it's gonna be awhile till emulators are made, that is what I'm truly excited for is a more powerful portable device for emulation...compared to my 3ds, and fuck off with tablets cause I don't want to deal with the bulky, shitty attachable tablet controllers, not worth it
ps vita is also powerfull and can handle nearly every emulator ;)

I hope they release something that either bypasses cart updates or at least keep a backdoor open when you update. Otherwise many ppl will not be able to enjoy homebrew later on.

I think it will be hard though since every failed attempt would mean another switch gone thanks to efuse protection

Is a card update bypass realisable? It would be realy nice for games like mario odyssey or rabbids kingdom if we are not able to play online...

Could firmware spoofing also enable online play or is 3.0.0 forever doomed to be offline?
I've read somewhere in this thread that firmwarespoofing won't be possible at all.

Because Nintendo can change they keys with every new firmware. Making software incompatible with older firmwares.

Maybe emunand is the only possibility. But we're far from that point...

I will not buy a Switch. At least not now. Here is why:

It will take a long time until the end user will be able to do and play cool stuff with the Switch. I want a N64, Dreamcast and Gamecube emulator. N64 will perhaps happen within a year or two. But it is not even sure Gamecube will happen. Why you might wonder?

The Switch userbase is a 1/3 of what the PSViTA and Wii U, (5 million compared to around 15 million) at least if this only will be compatible up to 3.0.0. There will be no scene like the Wii, psp or NDS. Those systems sold like 80-150 million. There are too few people involved in the Switch scene. Trust me on this.

Not really if a mod chip makers makes a mod chip for it and yes it is possible, despite some people saying otherwise, that's how Xbox 360, Xbox, and PS3 bypass efuses protection.

.

Use a PC to emulate all of those, buy two switches one for exploits and one for legit use. Put it this way, there will be more of a scene than the current PS4 one is with just it's attention whoring twitter teasers, fake news and clickbait sites like PS3hax.

At least with the devs involved with switchax , a release is imminent at some point, as it's been proven with the 3DS.

You can't compare them because they all use efuses differently. It's not if they do or don't use them, it's HOW they use them, and also how they are installed in the system.

We've seen in the past mod chips can make the 'impossible' happen. If there's money to be made something will come eventually.
