renaming the file on the nand just corrupts it. FYI, the dump and the sav came from the same cartridge

I think that you are confusing things a bit. When you dump a NAND based game (card2), the save is part of the resulting ROM.

What game are you dumping, and what exactly are you renaming?

I dumped fire emblem and im trying to get my save onto my emunand. I took the name from the .sav that existed on the emunand and gave that name to the .sav file from the backup I made with 2.2

OK. Just so you know, the terminology that you used isn't quite correct. When most people talk about a NAND save, they are referring to card2 games like Pokemon (which Fire Emblem and almost all of the other games in the library are not.)

Now to answer your question, you have to rename the save not to what you name the ROM, but to its TitleID number which can be looked up by going here

1. Dump your ROM.
2. Rename your ROM to *.3DZ.
3. Dump your retail save and rename it to 000400*****.sav (search the correct number from http://3ds.essh.co).

Make sure you're using your OWN DUMPED ROM to read your retail save.
Otherwise the save will NEVER BE READABLE.

I've already told him to do that and he is trying it out now.

I have tried about 10 times with my copy of Mario Golf and the save keeps getting corrupt. It works fine for my other games though.

I'm making the same stuff, and couldn't play with my retails's saves too.

BTW, my Resident Evil Revelations was splitted in .3D0 and .3D1 so i can't rename in 3DZ0 and 3DZ1

You can merge the split files using various methods. Search online and find a method that works on your operating system. Windows has a command line function for it. That command can be found on one of the other newer threads talking about ROM dumping and header patching (I can't remember where I read it, so you will have to search for it.) I'm sure that other OS have tools for that.

Ok Got it from other Forum :

In Linux, open up terminal and run: cat file.3d0 file.3d1 >> file.3ds
In Windows, open up command prompt and run: copy /b "file.3d0" + "file.3d1" "file.3ds"

Tested seems working on one of my game rom.

do make sure you are using exFat on the memory card you are copying to.

But still we are having the save problem ^^

For some titles, it depends on the what the game is and how you played it before.

For example: Pokemon X played using Gateway classic mode will have a valid save that can be played after you dump the ROM. However, if you have Pokemon X that has been played only on a retail unit without the Gateway exploit, the save will always come up as corrupt no matter what you do.

Without knowing more specifics about what you are trying to dump, how you have played it before, etc, the amount of advice that we can give is limited to just generalities.

Stubbs is a pretty damn good sauce that I think you'll find on most grocery shelves as I don't think it's regional

smokey flavor that reminds me of beef jerkey on top of a really rich kind of bbq sauce. Heat level that is a nice zing, not overwhelming, but it tingles all the way down your throat

It's important for society to be healthy and educated. If those things can't happen because all of the institutions that prop up those industries make it unattainable for all but a small portion of society, then your society is largely going to be disease ridden, dying, and uneducated in very short order.

I agree it's not easy for the average American, let alone the ones below that average. Free / cheaper healthcare is much more important I think than free university education.
Of course like @mthrnite said, why not both. But I doubt both will get solved at once, and surely healthcare is top priority.
