PS1/2 Got a used PS2 with HDD and modchip. Can I transfer games to it without purchasing anything else?

Crap... Do you have any idea why my PC didn't see the PS2? I tried it with an old notebook to be sure, same result.

He mentions that he is connecting directly to the ps2 from pc. You need a cross-over Ethernet cable. It’s wired different from a traditional Ethernet cable. Usually crossover cables are orange or red. You MAY be able to connect the ps2 to a router or switch hub. I was never very successful with keeping the ftp program to work.

You learn something new everyday. I never knew about this before. Thanks a lot slap, I'll get myself a crossover cable, hope they aren't expensive.

Only need one if the pc is a dinosaur. Most modern network equipment will detect and switch the pins internally as needed.

Even the old notebook was using Win 8.1. None of them were that old. I found some comments mentioning crossover cable is needed but of course I'm not sure.

Then again why am I having this problem? I'm really confused.
