Hacking Getting a New 3DS XL, which FW for Homebrew, Gateway and DSTWO?

So I've scraped through sticky threads and FAQs but the most common question for all hackable consoles isn't even listed:

Which firmwares are hackable?

Because I'm looking to switch from my 2DS to a New 3DS XL and I don't know which firmwares I have to look for so I can still use Homebrew, Gateway and DSTWO, especially since New 3DSs don't come with firmwares below 9.x, right?

Any with FW <= 10.7 can install CFW without additional game cartridge/hardmod.
If you still have your 2DS and can install CFW on it, any FW version is fine.

Yes, with the help of a Dsiware game you can purchase on eshop for 1,99 USD or 4,99 EUR depends on your region.
