Hey friends,its been long time since i left the 3DS-GW scene
so back in August i sold all my 3DSs(between 4.5 and 9.0 fw)
today i picked up New 3DS XL (Hyrule ed) from Gamestop and its 9.9
after i read that GW team has some surprises (Sooooon is this still a thing )
so what should i expect same OOT kind of hack or full hack like 4.5 (and what the possibilities of emunand+CIA support)

No need to wait for Gateway if you don't want to, you can downgrade from 9.9 to 9.2 and install your CFW of choice. Happy hacking!

Just wanted to bring this to everyone's attention.

This all started happening in a topic unrelated to downgrading, so it may have gone unnoticed by many.

The process is working fine for old3DS owners, but is a little less reliable for new3DS users.

Some have reported having to try up to 50 times before finally succeeding in downgrading their new3DS. It mostly seems to hang at step 8, if it does, hard reboot and start over until it finally gets passed step 8.

@TheStoneBanana has put together a tutorial here, and @Ptrk25 a quick tutorial specifically aimed at new3DS users here.

Don't bet on it. There's sure to be at least one firmware update before Gateway releases their solution.

If emuNAND is over 9.6 then we can most likely update emuNAND to the latest version unless Ninty puts in more checks before their next update is what I was getting at. Kind of obvious given the history of the product but I guess it wasn't so obvious to everyone.

We will need a new flashcard or we are able to use the same "old one"?
How this will going to happen? Downgrading the FW to 9.2?

Or we could use the blue card to install the exploit on fw 10.3, same way like is today with 9.2?

Anyone know or have any idea?

I just bought a Gateway before the price go really high, because i have sure it will here in Brazil, if it's the same flashcard and works direct great, if no, well, i just need to downgrade.

Gateway always promised to use the same card. They have been using the same one since they came out. This was 100% predictable.

Ok, i bring you my problem, since i cannot find why is not working.
I updated Homemenuhax to get a custom bootscreen working, and i don't know why, now i cannot launch GW.3dsx from the Hombrew Launcher.
I decided to make a clean install and see if it's the problem, so let's begin with my route:
Got starter package from smea github
Used Browserhax to get to it
Installed Homemenumanager 2.1
Went back to HBL, and launched GW.3dsx
Black screen

Before that, i made same route, but installing HMM 2.0, and again, black screen
Downloaded twice the archives needed, hoping for a bad download, and nothing.

Anyone can point me on the right direction? Thank you

Don't even know how the Gateway work to be honest.

You think we will need to downgrade or the 10.3 support will be "native"?

NVM, just had to have the redcard inside, thought i could enter the gateway menu without, but seems not.
