Hello everyone!
I just got a Wii U and I wanted to install homebrew. However, it's already updated to 5.5.0 :glare:
I've seen some of your posts, but to be sure, I wanted to ask if you know about any way to install homebrew on fw 5.5.0.
If it is not, I would be greatfull if you could keep this post updated to know when.

Thank you all for help.

Technically possible, but now 5.3.2 is the priority, then 5.4.0, then 5.5.0.

Then, is it safe to run homebrew on 5.5.0?
Is there any specific homebrew to this FW?

It is safe to run homebrew on the wii side of the Wii U, just follow one of the tutorials. For the Wii U side, you have no homebrew options available to you.

vWii can be hacked as mentioned.
There's nothing confirmed as far as Wii U-mode homebrew on 5.5.0 goes yet, basic homebrew should be possible, but kernel access is still a big question mark.

Hey guys,
I tried to install homebrew for hundered times but always shows the same result:

cleaning up environment...eventbook release failed with code 0
ok.
sd card detected
opening boot.elf:
boot.elf not found (-1)
usb gecko not found
"no code found to load, hanging.

I've tried to format SD card again, download HackMii and Smash Atack, but never sucess.
I also checked "boot.elf" and "private" files are on root.
What can I do?

You are probably trying to use an SDHC card. Try an older SD card.

I finnaly did it!
I tried with a Sandisk SD card and it worked.
Now I got another problem...
I got the homebrew channel installed on my Wii U, then I installed vWii, USB Loader GX 3.0 and WBFS Manager and did exactly as this guy:

However I can't play any games (ISO and WBFS). When using WBFS Manager, I browse all my ISO games but no success. Some of them say "Not enough free space in temporary folder, choose a different temporary folder with at least 4.8 GB free."

Can you help me please?

Did you format your drive in WBFS? That isn't nesacary, you can use NTFS, or some people still like FAT32. Did you check where your temporary folder is? Is that drive full?

You really are going through the wars with this aren't you. It took me literally 4min to hack my vwii. I think you should start hitting up ebay for your wii games.

I did format in WBFS. I also tried to use in FAT32 but I don't know if I'm doing right. Is the ISO game have to be on the Flash Drive root?
