I am personally hoping that the next two games will be made with PS5 in mind, then maybe game 2 of 3 will be ported-down to PS4.

Maybe we will see an extra-special 3rd game that is made only with PS5/next-gen in mind and can not really be ported-down to PS4.

PS5 is backwards compatible with the PS4, so i don't think that's going to be necessary. They could just do a rerelease later on in the PS5's lifespan.

I firmly disagree. I am actually upset inside that the first game was released so late in the PS4 being current-gen. Not even a year before the PS5 will come out.

The tech is already clearly outdated and that has deeply diminished any sense of wow-factor from a graphics perspective. That is a big problem for such a requested and dreamed for game for so many people for the past 17+ years. It was supposed to be absolutely epic but it simply is not. Judging it outside of the hype-lens it is still a reasonable game. I really hope that part 2/3 and definitely 3/3 up the wow factor.

I doubt Square Enix will ever make games with the production values of Final Fantasy XIII and Final Fantasy XII ever again.

uhh yes??? When we go into new hardware the jump in graphics is expected to be massive- SNES to PS1, PS1 to GCN, etc

When I look at some of the dismal texturing in the game as it is, it doesn't fill me with hope that it would be much better. Some of the cityscape background textures in particular are dreadful. Resident Evil 2 Remake did this so much better.
