Gaming Final Fantasy IV Complete Collection FMV Freezes

I just went back to FFIV CC but it freezes and crashes my PSP sometimes during FMV sequences. I've seen it's a common problem, but was there ever a definite fix? I'm on 5.50 Prome-4.

I recall using umdgen to switch the intro fmv (and possibly others) to a short one like the transition to the moon. Makes the iso smaller too, which is always nice.
