I played Epic Mickey 1 recently and found that there were some small gameplay changes made to the game that made significantly improved the gameplay in the Japanese version. The camera being able to adjust while moving (and not needing to stop) and the ability to skip going through the 2d stages the second time around really helped with the pacing of the game.

It's nice that the JP release had the English voices and text built in to the game so it was a simple matter of changing two lines of text in the region setting to get it switched. I have a good understanding of how to read Japanese but the real reason I wanted to play it in English was because Mickey Mouse, and Disney in general, has an English background. So the characters speaking in English make it feel more immersive as an old cartoon game brought to life instead of some weird Japanese anime game. Nothing wrong wrong with the Japanese translation, but it doesn't have the same vibe or feel to make match the tone of the game.

Anyways, I was wondering if Epic Mickey 2 on the Wii had any regional JP changes because the JP version came out a full year later after the international release. The same thing happened with the original Epic Mickey game which is why they had the time to do bug fixes and improve gameplay.

I checked on tcrf but they didn't have any info about this. I know that epic mickey 2 had some gameplay and camera issues (much like the first game) so I was hoping the JP release had some improvements. Would the process of changing it to English be the same as in the original game?

Thanks everyone!
