New 3ds xl joystick doesnt move

hello about a year ago i accidentally flicked off the connector latch and recently ive getten a new one and succesfully put it on the 4 pin connector so then i put the 3ds back togeather when i turn it on this happend (in video im not the one moving the box icon) this has happend in when my circle pad was not connected but i knew why it was happening now i have no idea why and what to do ive tried taking it appart and putting it back togeather but nothing fixxed it


if anyone can help it would be appreciated
