Gotta address this now: I took some sort of inspiration from one of the threads I commented on and I need some assistance with the Wii Sports Resort mii data files but for those who wanna possibly make their own mii characters appear as CPUs in Wii Sports..

1: Find an ISO file of the Wii Sports game.

2: Use Wiiscrubber to extract these two files only located in the following path: *Note I'm using a North American version of this game as an example
Common/Static/Common.carc
US/Message/message.carc

3: Use SZS Explorer and open up these two files and then extract these files:
CPUMii folder in the Common.carc
sports_message.bmg in the message.carc (If SZS Explorer includes a BMG editor don't worry about that file yet.)

4: The CPUMii Folder should contain 60 rcd files all of them saying cpu_mii_000.rcd to cpu_mii_059.rcd
Open up a good hex editor to open the rcd files which should look like this for example for cpu_mii_022 (Which has Ryan mii from Wii Sports)
80 0C 30 E9 30 A4 30 A2 30 F3 00 00 00 00 00 00
00 00 00 00 00 00 40 40 20 00 00 00 00 00 00 00
CE BF 1F 98 30 CE C8 C2 44 6D 44 30 95 48 30 4F
00 8A EC AA 25 04
00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00
00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00

Now I colored in these following bytes here cause there the ones you edit to make a completely different mii appear in the game.
The first two bytes are the gender & the color
I discovered the first byte gender digits are this following:
For ♂ you type in 00 or 80
For ♀ you type in 40 or C0

As for the colors:
00 = Red
02 = Orange
04 = Yellow
06 = Light Green
08 = Dark Green
0A = Dark Blue
0C = Light Blue
0E = Pink
10 = Purple
12 = Brown
14 = White
16 = Black

The bytes in the 3rd & half of the 4th column copy paste the bytes you saved for a mii .mae file (Which was done in an online mii editor)
Heres my mii data I used for an example:
00 12 00 52 00 61 00 6E 00 64 00 6F 00 6D 00 00
00 00 00 00 00 00 27 30 D8 70 62 53 C2 42 89 98
12 C0 43 60 88 00 08 AB 1C 8D 2C 20 03 48 54 2E
82 C0 06 8C AC 90
00 4D 00 41 00 45 00 00 00 00
00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00
(In case your wondering what this is, its for a maybe poorly done mii of Rigby from Regular Show)

Copy & Paste the bold part which are the bytes located in offset the whole 3rd column and in the 4th column from 00 to 05 the reason for that is cause when I did so my character ended up working perfectly modeled in the game. Save that. The same can be applied for all the other rcd files.

5: Replace the rcd files in the CPUMii file in SZS Explorer with the newer ones you've edited and save. That will be your new common.carc file.

6: Open up a BMG Editor and open up your sports_message.bmg file you've extracted
or right click on sports_message.bmg and click "Open with BMG Editor"

7: This depends on the rcd files you've edited, it may be complicated at first but I figured out a pattern to know which ID you should look for.
All the mii names are located in "4864000 - 4864059"
So if example if you only just edited cpu_mii_022, the ID you should for is 4864022, edit the names out to whatever you desire and save along with the SZS Explorers.

8: Use Wiiscrubber again and this time you right click on the common.carc & message.carc files that you extracted from and replace them with your new .carc files.

And that should be able to your make your own miis in the game!

HOWEVER
Unfortunately I tried the same exact method to editing the data files in Wii Sports Resort, but to no avail. It just gives me a bunch of random miis that look nothing like the characters I try to replace.
If someone can help me with this problem please do respond.
I personally think why this is not working is because I'm dealing with rsd files instead of the rcd files.
Or that these rsd files come with two extra bytes for each of the miis in the game data.
80 0C 30 E9 30 A4 30 A2 30 F3 00 00 00 00 00 00
00 00 00 00 00 00 40 40 20 00 00 00 00 00 00 00
CE BF 1F 98 30 CE C8 C2 44 6D 44 30 95 48 30 4F
00 8A EC AA 25 04 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00
00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 09 ED

I feel like these two extra bytes in the data is the prime reason why I cannot be able to edit the mii data files in Wii Sports Resort without that mii in that game changing to another one or simply giving me a random mii everytime I restart the game session.

but until then enjoy my tutorial on editing the rcd files then!

could you be more specific on what to do for Resort? The instructions are unclear to me. Sorry if I seem rude.
