This is an easy way to hack any 3DS. This method allows you to use CFW, which enables cheats (You can get banned if you cheat online!) and the ability to put homebrew titles and pirated titles onto your HOME Menu. To hack your 3DS, simply follow these directions.
Step 1: Update your 3DS to the latest version.
Step 2: Download the correct zip file for your region and version and extract it to the root of your 3DS's SD Card.

Step 3: Go to https://zoogie.github.io/web/nbhax on your 3DS's web browser and you should boot into the Homebrew Launcher. (If it doesn't work the first time, then try it again.)
Step 4: Once you are in the Homebrew Launcher, select slotTool. Then select the Install Exploit to Wi-Fi slots option. Your system will shut down.
Step 5: While your system is shut down, hold down L+R+A+Up. While you are holding down these buttons, turn on your 3DS. Your 3DS should boot into a system update prompt. Accept the update. It will fail.
Step 6: It will give you an option to configure Wi-Fi settings. Do it. Then click on any one of the three Hax connections and go to Proxy Settings/Detailed Setup. Your 3DS should show the mini_b9s_installer screen. Press any button to close the installer.
Step 7: Open any app on your 3DS. While you are in the app, press L, Down, and Select at the same time. The Rosalina menu should appear.
Step 8: Scroll down to Miscellaneous Options and select the "Switch the hb. title to the current app" option. Save and exit.
Step 9: Press the HOME button and close the app you had opened. Then open the same app again. You should boot into the Homebrew Launcher.
Step 10: Launch the Rosalina Menu again the same way you did last time.
Step 11: Scroll down to Miscellaneous Options and select the "Switch the hb. title to hblauncher_loader" option. Save and exit the Rosalina menu.
Step 12: Open FBI. Once FBI loads, press A twice. Select the "Install and delete all CIAs" option.
Step 13: Go to your HOME Menu and select the Homebrew Launcher. Open slotTool. Select the Restore your Wi-Fi slots option.
Step 14: Turn off your 3DS. Hold down Start during boot to open the Luma3DS chainloader menu. Select GodMode9.
Step 15: Press the HOME button and go to Scripts. Select "Temporary.gm9" and unlock the write permission.
Step 16: Press the HOME button and select More/Fix RTC Date and Time. Put in the correct time.
Step 17: Press the HOME button and select Scripts/Control Script/System Backup. When the backup is finished, it is recommended to copy the SD:/gm9/out folder to somewhere safe, as you may need it in the future to fix your 3DS if anything goes wrong.
Step 18: You will now need to go to System Settings and set the time properly.
You have now successfully installed three titles to your HOME Menu: FBI, the Homebrew Launcher, and Universal Updater. FBI functions as a basic file manager and title manager. You can use this to install CIA files and to delete system apps (Not a good idea!). The Homebrew Launcher can run 3dsx files (such as emulators and unofficial games) that are placed in the SD:/3ds folder. Universal Updater lets you install homebrew apps directly from your 3DS. You've now installed everything you need to install to have a fully hacked 3DS. If you ever softbrick your 3DS, then you can usually fix it by opening GodMode9 (Accessible via holding down Start as you are turning on your 3DS), pressing the HOME button, and selecting Scripts/Control Script/System Restore.
NOTE: If you have any issues with this guide, please post them on this page so I can attempt to fix them.
NOTE: Plailect's Guide has now added this method, but I am going to leave this guide up, since I worked hard writing this guide. (And in my opinion, this guide is simpler than Plailect's Guide, since you only need to download one file.)
