Hacking DVD-drive on my slim

Hi,

I soldered my sd card reader to the xbox. I put the wire between the xtal and the gnd to disable it. I would like to know if I need to keep the sdcard reader when I use the DGX ? Do I need to reactivate the xtal before using the DGX

You'll need to use the SD thingy just to dump the NAND and to rewrite XeLL to the NAND.
Then after you retrieved the CPU key then you'll need to flash the original NAND back ;]

I've been able to read my nand. Ths dgx is installed too.

To run the dgx, the sd reader should be disconnect ? right ?

Best is to fully dump the NAND.
Then you'll be sure of a good clean dump (also less errors when writing back)


Erm yes.
Well only from the PC and the ribbon cable connecting to the soldered PCB.
You don't need to desolder it ;]

mmm well,

I used an microsd adapter to SD I opend it and solder the wire in there. After that I use a wire from the crystal Y3D1 to the GND. This cause the nand to be read and write.

Now I used J-runner and did write dgx. I select the corona 4G, select the drive (in my case is F and hit write button.

Next I removed the wire from the crystal to the ground. Hook up the DGX.

Power up the console and now I see 2 leds from the DGX one is Red (Power good I think). And the other one (green one) is flashing.

It's now powerd for 5 minutes and this is only flashing. Is this normal ?

Should the green light do something else ?

As far as I know, the DGX only outputs a COM signal, it might be retrieving the CPU key but you'll have to check with Jrunners comports.
I think that it also outputs the CPUkey via LAN but I'm not entirely sure about it (haven't used the DGX yet)

Hi,

I got my CpuKey from the DGX. The com output have not worked but The IP worked.

I load it into j-runner and now j-runner have decrypted my nand I think since In kv Info U have information .

DVD key
DVD modele.

ect.. do I need anything elese that the cpu key and dvd key ?

Alright.
Well glad the IP thing worked then ;D

Erm first of all, flash back the virgin dump.
Desolder the DGX and the SD dumper.
Then test if the 360 is still booting (very very small chance it might not work but it's astronomically low if you're careful)


After that you'll want to extract the FCRT.bin from the NAND and use the DVD key + CPU key to emulate the DVD drive.
This I don't know how to set it up but I think the Xkey install guide would point you there ;]

Oh, Also keep a backup of your NAND + CPU Key + DVD key on your computer, back it up twice if you need to.

Yes, extract it from the NAND dump.

You'll need the FCRT.bin to emulate the DVD.
You won't need the full NAND dump to emulate it but don't delete it!

If you ever want to convert it into a RGH in the near future then you can use that NAND + your CPU key to build a hacked NAND and solder in a glitch chip (CR3 Lite for example)
