Hacking CycloDS iEvolution questions.. Can you still find the old card?

I have experience with the old cyclo ds card. A family members card recently stopped working and I'm looking into getting them a new one, they have a DS lite.

Will a cycloDS iEvolution work in a DS lite?
I would like to be able to set it up once for them and never have to mess with it again. Thats how the older cyclo cards worked for me.

Is there a place to buy the older cycloDS evolution cards?

Is there any other cards that work specifically with a DS Lite?
Im looking for something simple thats easy to setup and that has a simple interface

The iEvo will work on a DS Lite, but the Cyclo series is not supported anymore and not recommended.
All the modern carts work just as well and all of the work on a DS Lite.

No, don't. They're a team that is well-known for dropping support and making you buy a new card every few updates.

actually, if he is using a ds lite, i would also highly recommend a 2.1. it was by far the best constructed of the 2 series. the problem is that the card won't work on the dsi/3ds, so if he ever upgrades to a low firmware dsi/3ds he will be back looking for a flash kit to buy.

@OP, you should just shell out the $40 and pick up a SCDS2. it has some really great support, high compatibility, and some really fun exclusive emulators and applications.

I hear the SCDS2 is nice, but ak2i works fine. (I too loved my cyclods)
