I also thing the GBA card sticks out too much, the supercard looks massive. Getting a mini supercard soon so it'll probably stick out as much as the supercard did in the normal DS.

The biggest con of the DS Lite is all the unnecessary threads it has created here at gbatemp since it has come out

Its a bit small for my hands, I dont like how it feels, much like the original NES controller that shipped, too boxy, the original DS was a bit fatter and had rounder edges I guess, it just felt better in my hand, not my long spindely fingers have to bend uncomfortably to accomodate a smaller shell....just really bugs me...the screen is super nice though. And mine seems to have much better wifi range then the fat bastard DS i had...

My only gripe is the sound is not as loud. My org, Ds is way louder then my Ds lite (second unit, 1st one had 3 dead pixel, return and got another.).

Even the store display unit has the sound problem Not as loud. (USA DS Lite).

got my ds lite a week ago

found out you need tiny hands to use the shrunken d-pad

this is a beautiful system - improving on the original DS with clarity of gfx brightness and less scratchable screen ( we'll see if that's the case in 6 months).
i don't like the positioning of the recharge battery lead slot - if you've got a passkey2, it means you can't use it, whilst charging the battery.
other con - need for completists to go buy yet another nintendo handheld for their display cabinet!
easy money for nintendo i guess, seeing as the hardware can't be emulated/flashed !!
I find the brightest gfx level sickly bright, and have been taking andrews powders for the last 3 days to settle my tummy

apart from that it is perfection reinvented.
the original ds may have been clunky, but it broke the mold, and still beats PSP hands down in sheer playability of games. so there !

ciao for now

whatever ds lite cons listed are in no way relative to the original ds.  the original ds was a piece of crap.

it wasnt a piece of crap

bad thing about the ds lite: Your scared of taking it out of the case.. you might drop it and damage its shiny shiny case...

i agree with you there - whoever wrote that has to be a psp owner i reckon

dunno about the dropping thing. i read in a uk nintendo mag that they test all handhelds by dropping 100s of them from a height of 10 feet, just to ensure they don't bust. kids are not as gentle as i was with my toys, when i were a lass ( grew up pre-nintendo in the 1970s).
i'd be gutted though if our cat scratched mine, as she did the DS.

Nintendo World Store. Rockefeller Center. Manhattan. New York City. I look at it often. =)

Only thing I have against the DS Lite is how inputting more than 1 direction on the D-pad at once (diagonals) isn't as easy as the original DS. Not much of a con though, since you can learn to adjust to it. Which I'm doing now.

Well the corners of the ds lite sort of bug me after a while of use. they dig into my palms after a while and leave little indentations in them. And anyway, does anyone feel a strain on their arm holding the ds/ds lite when using the stylus over time?
