They explain this in the opening post. Did you follow the instructions? If you did, and the bios offered in the opening post doesn't work in sd:\gba\, you can put this one in that folder instead.

I was going to wait for shinyquagsire23's permission to link it, but they're not responding to my private message.

I'm kinda away with super spotty WiFi so responding is difficult. Linking to the official bios is legally questionable since it's copyrighted material. Using an official BIOS is advised though.

It's not the official one. While there is an official one on that site somewhere, it is stored as GBA.BIOS, though I forget where exactly it's stored on the site.

I linked an unofficial one. I can attest it's not perfect, as many of the games I use lag just a tad with certain transitions. However, it runs games rather well, and the lag is very slight, just takes a bit longer to load images. Depending on your frame rate and machine, you may not notice.

Retroarch possibly? Go for it.
That's LITERALLY the only reason why I want my 3DS to be exploited other than playing games out of region. I'm also hoping someone can get Reicast (Dreamcast emulator) running since it's open source. Someone ported NullDC to PSP and it got somewhere before the developer just trashed it. Reicast seems to perform a lot better on weaker hardware than NullDC does. It'd probably be an N3DS exclusive homebrew, obviously.

Does Mother 3 work? I tried booting up and it crashed on the file selection screen.

I was able to successfully boot it up using VBA-M, so I can only assume that both my BIOS and ROM are working properly..

32MB games are not supported due to the lack of memory needed to buffer the ROM in RAM. There might be ways to get more RAM, there might not though, idk.

aww man. It's not a simple matter of ROM trimming like when we used to trim PSP ISOs back in the day to save storage space? This is literally the only game I want to play

So like, Pokemon Fire Red on ninjhax 2.0 on an N3DS via interpreter is actually faster than dynrec. Not even kidding.
Yeah the n3ds really screams on nh2. My benchmarks show a 3x increase in cpu speed on single-threaded cpu stuff. (makes you wonder about the same 268Mhz claim on 3dbrew being correct)

This makes me wonder, is nh1 homebrew on n3ds shackled by being launched in old3ds mode? Or is this some other issue with ninjhax?

I personally think the web browser has a lower thread priority than normal apps, which could explain the speed increase. That or on N3DS we somehow have a core to ourself, not sure how that would be working though.

I tried out Pokémon Ruby and Minish Cap on my 9.9 N3DS with ninjhax 2.0, runs very nicely! I have another 3DS that is at 9.2 FW and has GBA VC injection roms of Ruby and Minish Cap as well and I much prefer this emulator to them! The GBA VC titles always looked so dark and kind of muddy. With this emulator the games look bright and vibrant.

Don't expect full speed on an o3ds. Some games will play pretty well, others will be too slow.
Is that not just the nature of the emulator though? Even on my 9.9 N3DS with ninjhax 2.0, only a few games are actually playable. I tried mega man zero, advance wars, pokemon emerald, super mario advance 2...they're all slideshows. Maybe I'm using an old citragb build? I'm using the one that came packaged in smea's ninjhax 2.0.
