3.. 2.. 1.. The new Guitar Hero! Capcom a new Activision? :creep:

Seriously speaking what new things have the games brought? I haven't played other fighting games than Tekken (PS3) from the present gen consoles. Somehow these games seem to be nothing more than remakes..

That should clear it up.

I haven't played SFxT but I've heard positive things about it. It seems like nowadays people are just hating on fighters because Capcom owns a large share of their market. They do sleezy things with their fighters, surely, but they still produce what people consider to be the definitive fighters every generation.

Damn piracy, why do you always have to ruin the sales?!!?
lolno.

Piracy never slowed down any sales - pirates don't buy games, that's why they're pirates. Even if piracy was eliminated on the platforms concerned, the sales would be pretty bad because of the economical situation around the world, not because of piracy.

oh come on, you know its neither as black as you say, nor as white as the others pretend.
if there was no piracy at all, -some- pirates would eventually throw out a few bucks for a few games. they'd obviously buy less than they would otherwise download, but people dont abandon games entirely just cause they cant have them for free.

also, yeah, with capcom constantly shafting the gamers, you'd expect dropping support.

Generalising here but, most pirates will still buy games, music and videos. You will find that piracy is generally used to try out games that would not normally be purchased anyway. So, no piracy still equals very little increase in game sales. Look at the 3DS or PS3. Have there been phenomenal sales increases there compared to other platforms?

I like how selling 1.4 million units is bad.
Just saying.
It's not so much sluggish sales as they just expected they'd have sold more by now.

oh boy i don't know where to begin.... but the piracy talk has got to stop in this topic. hell i'm only a pirate for system's that can be hacked (and not banned online) but enough about that.. well it's got some good selling points but it's also a fun couch buddy game too so don't relay online too much for it but 60 bones is just too much but still it's great for a weekend rental. and it's the 2nd couch buddy game i have played (mortal kombat was the first couch buddy fighting game i have played) but if we get more people to play has i may get this.

I can't believe one obviously sarcastic comment (which the author even noted as sarcastic) is still the center of a useless debate.

So yeah, knock it off.

The game looks good enough, but $60 good? I don't really think so.

I guess enough people agreed with me.
Lemme think - spend $60 on some collab game or buy, I don't know, three way better games instead?

By using a pricetag like this, the distributor basically sticks "Rental" on the discs.

The Vita Version of the game is going to be virtually the same as its console counterpart, probably with one extra mode. This is Capcom we are talking about, look at what they did for UMvC3, and to a certain extent, SSFIV: 3DS Edition.

the game seemed cool but it was a failed attempt to print money from two of the best fighting games around atm. i dont even want the vita version anymore, the tag fighting system gets old fast. veteran fighting game players know what i mean, plus the majority of people online for the vita are sore losers who rage quit so it wont be fun unless your a total noob. UMVC3 on Vita is the first game i have ever played where i have had people rage quit on me more than 10 times IN A ROW after i beat the crap out of them. im just gonna accept the fact that the vita audience is still for 12 year olds that dont want to learn anything cause if u cant learn something in 5 milli seconds, its too damn hard, and we wont see an end to game ruining gimmicks. i mean im not a very competitive person, but if i like a game and i play it alot, im gonna learn stuff to reflect how much i play. people who play games like MVC3 for a year and learn nothing astound me.

The on disc dlc makes me extremely certain that there will be a hyper turbo super street fighter cross tekken arcade edition. I bought mvc3 and umvc3 on launch and that was enough for me especially seeing how long it took capcom to fix problems within those games. Well that and the whole trollolololololololol megaman stuff they have been doing.

I haven't played SFxT but I guess SF-Fans could find it too similar to SF4 and for T-Fans it could feel like a very different game and if they wanted to play that they would have started playing SF instead of Tekken...

Also there was so much content for SF4 that there maybe isn't a hunger for more (DLC, Super and AE ...).

Personally I finde the premise of mixing these very different fighting-styles together quite interesting but I just don't like Tag-Team-Fighters.

Wow.......

I can see why. I like this game, but many Tekken fans may find Street Fighter's control pattern confusing (myself included)

Can't wait for Tekken X Street Fighter!
