Capcom TGS 2023 Online Program - Roundup



TGS is about to begin, and so is Capcom's Online Program for this 2023 event. The stream is just about to begin, let's see what Capcom has in store for this event:
  • We start off with Dragon's Dogma 2, with some gameplay footage, as well as some showcase about some of the areas that the player will encounter.
  • Aiding people on the land will sometimes give you quests, and pawns might guide you to the right path for these quests.
  • Monsters might ambush you during travels.
  • Camps might help you recover health
  • Some weapons like the Mystic Spearhand are showcases, and the player can use magic to help staggering enemies.
  • A playable version of Dragon's Dogma 2 is available at Capcom's booth in TGS.
  • Coming to PS5, Xbox Series and Steam.

  • Now unto Resident Evil 4's Remake, the game has sold over 5 million copies since March.
  • Separate Ways DLC is now available, it sees the story on Ada's side while Leon is going through the main game.
  • The Grappling Hook is back and it can be used for both Melee attacks and traversing different new areas.
  • A Mercenaries update has also gone live, featuring Ada and Wesker as new playable characters in the minigame, as well as 2 more characters that can be unlocked in Mercenaries as well, these being a special set for Leon with his Mafia costume, and a special set for Ada with another costume as well.
  • RE4 VR is showcased next, featuring 3D audio, immersive controls and realistic weapons.
  • Boxes and other things that hold items can be destroyed with one button press.
  • Coming this winter.
  • Macs with Apple Silicon now support RE4 Remake.
  • RE4 is also coming to iPad Air and iPad Pro models, coming later in 2023, and the main game's DLC and free updates are also coming to Mac devices.
  • iPad version of RE8 will be released as well, before the RE4 release.

  • Apollo Justice: Ace Attorney Trilogy gets a brand new trailer, featuring many of the characters from the franchise.
  • Prosecutors are also showcased in the trailer, like Miles Edgeworth.
  • Special Extras are shown also, with DLC-only special episodes, different costumes and multi-language support.
  • Art Library, Orchestra Hall (OST), Museum, Animation Studio and more will be included, all for each of the three games.
  • Additional features like title launcher (to select which game to play is a feature for some reason), episodes can be freely selected too.
  • Coming January 25th, 2024.
  • Digital preorders will start in Fall 2023.

  • Monster Hunter is next, with a video showcasing Monster Hunter: Now , a mobile game developed by Niantic, being featured, will be available for free on mobile stores.
  • A new updated for Monster Hunter Now is scheduled for December, with new monsters, weapons and more.
  • 2024 will be Monster Hunter's 20th Anniversary, with a thank you message from Capcom, and a new logo for the occasion, as well as a quick glance at all the entries from the franchise throughout the years.
  • More announcements for the 20th Anniversary will be revealed in the future.

  • Exoprimal is the next game, with new features from the August 16th update showcased.
  • Title Update 2 is coming on October 18th, with a new map, Ocean Platform, being shown.
  • A new mission called Escape will also be added, made up of two phases, with one battling dinosaur hordes to secure the map and make the exosuit more powerful, and the second where the escape device will appear in the map and the players must try to get to it, it will also feature new rigs.
  • A collaboration content between Exoprimar and Street Fighter 6 is shown, with exosuits special focused on SF characters will be included into Exoprimal, with special moves from the fighters also being added.
  • Special exosuit skins depending on holidays will be featured.
  • There's more updates to come, and Capcom gives a glimpse at some of them, with Title Update 3 coming in January, 2024.

  • Street Fighter 6 has new info, with new characters and content being added to the game.
  • We focus a bit on AKI, the new fighter that got released back in September 7th, who specializes on confusion and snake themed attacks.
  • AKI will have 2 outfits, each one with its set of coloured themes.
  • Tiang Hong Yuan will be added as a new location in World Tour.
  • A rank higher than Master called Legend will be added to the Master League.
  • Training mode will be revamped to add even more details.
  • A Halloween Pass will be coming in October.
  • Ed and Gouki will come as additional characters.
  • SF6 will have an official eSports tournament, with 9 teams and 36 top players competing.
  • It will be featured in US, Japan and Europe.
  • First prize will be of 1 million dollars, with a prize pool of 2 million.

  • A special digital sale for popular Capcom titles is currently on-going, like RE4 and Megaman Battle Network Legacy Collection.
  • The digital theme park, Capcom Town is open to celebrate the company's 40th anniversary, with special pictures, games, and more available in it.
  • Capcom ID, an account to play Exoprimal and SF6 online, can be used for services and campaigns, and Capcom is planning on extending the features of this.

I wonder what'll be in the 20th anniversary of monster hunter, maybe more remakes and remasters of old titles.

.....annnnnnd it's triple a garbage. just give me something 2D that resembles a platformer
MegaMan X Dive? It came out with basically no fanfare a few weeks ago, and I'm suprised it didn't even get a mention. It's not perfect (being based off a mobile game), but it's the closest thing to a new MegaMan X game we have had for a long time.
