Hacking Can't install the homebrew channel

I've been trying for hours to softmod my Wii using LetterBomb, everything was alright until the scam screen alert. The wii.guide says I should wait 30 seconds but the message "press 1 to proceed" shows up after 5 seconds, and when I try to press 1 it doesn't do anything, it just freezes. So im forced to turn my wii off. Can anyone help me out ?

Make sure you're updated to the latest system menu and your IOS 58 isn't patched.

I am on version 4.3E, I think it`s the latest one.
and how do I verify that my IOS 58 isn`t patched ?

When you downloaded Letterbomb, did you make sure it was set to 4.3E and not 4.3U, cause that could be your problem

Secondly, is your Wii crashing, or is it your remote?

Yes 4.3E is the latest.
Are you able to actually get to the screen talking about not being scammed?
Have you modded your console before?

If he got to the anti-scam warning screen then he picked the right one. That box only affects the exploit stuffs. The payload (bootmii installer) is universal (for all regions, not all versions tho).

Okay, is your sd card formatted to fat32? if it isn't, format it and try again. It should have worked???

Before we start
1) Make sure your tv mode is on 60 hz
2) Make sure you have Internet channel (If you dont have download and if you cant open wii shop channel, select usa as country and try again)
3) Go internet channel
4)Type in the website (just type flashhax in normal google and you will see the one with named exploit and said please bookmark this page) i cant give you link since im newbie
5) add it to favorites
6) select it
7) wait it to load (if it freezes, reset the wii and try again)
8) there you go
