First, the digital copy was installed via WUPInstaller, with update data but no DLC. Prior to running the game, I deleted the DLC packs from the disc version as I figured I wouldn't need them anymore. XCX digital is on my external, XCX disc is on internal.

Upon booting XCX digital, my save data isn't detected. After that, upon booting my disc version, my save data wasn't detected.

It shows up in data management, the date is correct for when I last used it. I redownloaded the DLC packs via eshop, but it went to my external. No change for either one. So I got the packs again via FunKii and installed them through WUPInstaller to the internal, but no change.

I am currently in the process of overwriting the data on the external with the internal data, hoping that by getting rid of the digital copy it will be fine.

The save needs to be in the same location as the game so if the game is on external storage the save needs to be in external as well.

Now I know I can't just move save data between storage devices, it's either all or nothing, which would overwrite my installed game.

So should I copy my game data to external, then use WUPInstaller to install the game on the external? Or will that overwrite the copied data?

@SylverReZ, I dislike the kind of drm where you have to play single player games online all the time bc of some verification bs

@Xdqwerty, Don't use games that have Easy Anti-Cheat as its been exploited many times.

@SylverReZ, I also heard one of the Prince of Persia games was so unfinished that it required the "24/7 online" drm so a puzzle could be done and the game could be finished. And that when the Ubisoft servers were closed the (cracked) game was impossible to finish or something like that
  • SylverReZ @ SylverReZ:
@Xdqwerty, That's extra scummy. Ubisoft nowadays ship out incomplete games like Skull and Bones which was being worked on for nearly a decade now.

Either that or their old games were unfinished aswell but we can't notice it

I like that games can be fixed after the fact, hate that it's being abused via beta tests... And DLC... I was a 7800 owner back in the day and loved Impossible Mission, turns out I couldn't beat it because it was actually impossible lol

I never knew about it at the time but a fixed version was available but you had to mail in your broken copy lol
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
So that version is semi rare
