Meanwhile, if people were smart, they would immediately buy up as many of these (Sky3ds) devices as possible because it is working NOW.
I cant speak for the next update. I wont pretend to be a psychic here.
But, I do know that my device has been working since the last 3 updates. No speculating here, the thing just works and continues to do so.

well lets be honest, the sky3ds card wasn't in peoples hands until 11/12/2014 (that's American format, so 12th November) that was the first review so probably around the first point the card was in peoples hands. so at this point 9.2 was already released on 30th October, so we are left with 9.3 and 9.4......9.4 was simply a bug fix for 9.3 to fix a issue with parental controls, so 9.4 is hardly classed as a real update and was only released 3 days after 9.3
lets not forget the reviewers probably got their hands on a sky3DS before anyone else, so they got theirs on 12th November, 9.3 was released on 8th December, leaving a window of around 20 days for stocks to reach resellers, nintendo to buy their sky3ds card, it to get shipped to them and for them to figure out how to detect it, for their programmers to implement an effective block that isnt so easily bypassed, and for it to all be beta tested and deemed safe to push to peoples consoles.....not to mention nintendo also had ninjhax to block, and gateway declaring they also had a 9.x solution in the pipeline....a lot was going on in November, it may just be that sky3ds was the lesser concern for them, hence them focusing on blocking ninjhax, and gateway in one go
plus saying

is a bit silly, IF people where smart, they would wait and see what happens....i think 3 months is a more realistic time frame for redesigning the cart authentication process, plus with the release of spider tools and regionthree, i think we know a update is literally going to drop any day now, and updates for pokemon X/Y and ORAS to prevent people staying on 9.4 and still being able to use online with hacks.....so
IF nintendo truly has been working on blocking sky3ds and co in the past couple of months, the release of that work will now be combined to pretty much cut off sky3ds users from using online services indefinitely....if sky3ds is blocked in 9.5/10.0 (or whatever they call it) and spidertools forces them to release updates for all the online games that are likely to be cheated on i.e mario kart, pokemon etc....its either update to get title updates and loose sky 3DS, or stay on 9.4 and not be able to get title updates, so loose online.....any one who was actually smart who hasn't already bought a sky3ds would just wait and see what happens as if any of this happens, sky3ds will pretty much loose its whole appeal overnight, and re-sellers will no doubt want to shift their stock asap.........so that would be the right time for 9.3/9.4 users who dont care about online to buy.
no point buying into something, that given a week or 2 will either survive, or be loosing a lot of its appeal/demand, which would greatly effect its price
