Hardware Buying after $ drop, which card will work?

I'm really close to buying a 3ds now that the price has dropped to $170.
But I know that some of the cards don't work with newer software.

Which software is being bundled with the 3ds now, and which flash cart/backup cart will work with it?
Where's a good place to buy the cart?
