Hacking Best flashcard for me?

Hi guys, complete 3ds noob. I used the r4 for my regular ds. Now looking for one for my 3ds, its an old 3ds (first ones) on version 9.0.0-20E.

I'll want to play 3ds games and if eshop shop games if that's possible.
Gamehark is also preferable. I have seen gateway card but you need v4 something. And sky3d but has no gameshark.

Since there's a lot of us games that don't cone to EU it would be great to have a flash card that supports US region games.

Gateway supports versions 4.x-4.5 and now 8.1-9.2. Since you're on 9.0 I would not update and order a Gateway.

It allows region free, eShop through emuNAND and a whole slew of other possibilities. No "gameshark" cheats available, but for regular DS games you can get a Supercard DSTwo which does allow cheats - Or use your old R4 after you get GW up and running.

I'd recommend reading a lot of the newbie threads here. There used to be a really good one that listed all of the pros and cons of all the different flashcards available, but I can't seem to find it. It may have been moved to EoF due to lack of updates.

Very true, I forgot about RxTools and Pasta. I haven't really played around with them much outside of firmware spoofing, but yea, no flashcard needed for those at all.

I wonder if GW will be limiting the functionality of their Launcher with all of the CFW's emerging. Guess there's not much they can do about it at all now though.
