So is it correct to use themehax in sysnand linked? Shouldn't skip the 3.1 points and go directly to 3.2 points (and there install CBM and freemultipatcher)?

I tryed with the last themehack but with no luck....

I suggest you ask in the proper themehax thread. I don't really know what this means. Sorry.

Use the offline installer as you would use the normal installer.

Edit: The normal themehax installer is now replaced with the offline version (which still installs *hax 2.1). Take a look at the MEGA folder ("Download" link) or at my previous post to download it.

- updated CtrBootManager to b08 (thx to @cpasjuste )
- updated homehax to 2.0 (legofan623's improved version) (thx to @legofan623 and @yellows8 )
- tried to improve the boot.cfg

So summarizing.... to install a cold boot on my N3DS 9.0 i need to:

1) Download the latest homemenuhax v.2.0 (that already included in your mega )
2) Launch the browser to go in HBL and select and install the homemenuxhax v.2.0

At this point should i have installed that.... now..if i want CtrlBootManager, should i follow your tutorial from point 3.1.6 for install CBM, right?

And last question... what are the differences between install CBM or not install CBM (so install only homemenux hax 2.0)?

No need to download anything. Just continue with 3.1.4 to install the 'old' themehax for now.

CtrBootManager is the executable that lets you boot rxTools or any other CFW. It has the highest boot success rate as it can directly run binaries using the proper offset and autobootfix delay.

I just updated the boot.cfg in order to maximize the boot success rate for everyone. Download it, delete the old one and replace it with the new one. You can also use FTP-3DS if you want to, there is a *hax version as well as a CIA version. The CIA version should be on your (micro)SD, although I recommend the *hax version. You can find it in the cloud folder if you don't want to search for it.

If you are using an 'old' 3DS: Before you replace the old boot.cfg with the new one, open the new one using a text editor, replace "autobootfix = 2" with "autobootfix = 8" and save, then replace the old boot.cfg on your SD card with the new one.

Edit: I will add some CFWs then (I currently have Reinand, Palantine and CakesFW in mind).

I had successful install themehax v.1.3 with autoboot and it work great: it boot directly to HBL..... for the moment i'm very happy with this configurations.... i don't know if i'll install ctrbootmanager.... if i understand rights, HBL could launch everything like CBM, or not?

But now i have 2 .3ds files.
The one is the game and the second is an update for the game.

So, how can i install that game and its update on my n3ds?

You cannot install .3ds files on your system. The file format you need is .cia. Only these can be installed.

And CBM allows you to boot directly into a custom firmware without the need of HBL. It can also autoboot a CFW, but this seems to be not so stable at the moment.

How to update your 'old' 3DS/2DS from below 9.0.0 to 9.2.0 (thx to @samiam144 )

1. Complete the Preparation section (0, see readme.txt).
2. Open the internet browser on your 3DS/2DS and type http://lavanoid.no-ip.org/?open . Once the screens start to change, hold L until the rxTools menu shows up.
3. In rxTools menu, go to the right until you see "ADVANCED OPTIONS" on the bottom screen, press (A), select "INSTALL FBI" and select "sysNAND" by pressing X. Press B, take note of what it says on screen, then repeat this but this time press Y after selecting sysNAND again.
4. Go to (link removed by author due to the rules of GBATemp, check my twitter) and download the 9.2.0 firmware ZIP archive that fits your 3DS system region (E for Europe and Australia, U for America and J for Japan), as well as the fbi_inject.tmd and fbi_inject.app files that fit your region and your TMD version (both should have been shown on screen previously). If you don't know your TMD version, you will need to download all of them and try them one by one.
5. Once downloaded, open the 9.2.0 firmware ZIP archive and find the "updates" folder; place it on your SD card.
Copy the fbi_inject.tmd and fbi_inject.app files to the root of your SD card.
6. Turn on your 3DS/2DS.
7. Open the internet browser of your 3DS/2DS and type http://lavanoid.no-ip.org/?open .
8. In rxTools menu, go to the right until you see "ADVANCED OPTIONS" on the bottom screen, press (A), select "INSTALL FBI", follow the instructions on screen and then select "DEVMODE".
9. Open the Health & Safety app to open FBI.
10. Select "CIAs", then "sysUpdater.cia".
11. Wait for the installation to complete, then press [HOME].
12. Open sysUpdater and follow the instructions on screen.

I will add this to the readme.txt ASAP.
