What would he made to deserve a ban from eShop? So Nintendo banned the console and not only the NNID? That's weird.

Strange that the original owner's 3DS got his Wii U banned. I smell bullshit, because my 3DS is banned, but my Wii U is perfectly fine, and is using the NNID that was banned on my 3DS.

This is why I was adamant about creating a new ID to try. Console bans usually result in more than a shop ban, and other that I have read about having a shop ban can't do other things online (ie a console ban). It seems odd from what I have seen in other threads.. It felt like there was content they received with the Wii U, but it doesn't matter with current options on the Wii U. I could be wrong obviously, but I got the same vibe you probably got.

The Nintendo "specialist" on the phone confirmed me that this happens, if you get banned from the 3DS eshop and you use that same ID on the WiiU, you also have it banned. Still, I don't know cause the Nintendo "specialist" was so full of shit that day he might have just invented that bullshit, OR the original owner of the WiiU bullshitted me. You can never know who is the actual bullshitter really.

My only advice is: don't ever use a banned Eshop ID on another Nintendo console.

Yes, that's probably true. Did you even try formatting the thing and using your own ID? I'd hope so anyway. You aren't using DNS settings from here are you? Either way, still sounds completely odd. You never really told anyone what you tried other than bitching at Nintendo about "wasting your time" and doing the browser way.

I also heard you risk bricking your console using coldboot Haxchi, am I wrong? Do you know if there is anything planned for the future? I mean in terms of a CFW on startup? Thanks man.

Oh yes, and I know what you mean, you can still do CFW through the browser, but I am investigating on startup CFW, which is ideal.

I bought it hand to hand here in latin america, there are simply no places to buy the WiiU brand new, even if I wanted to. The bastard should've mention this, you can still hack it so would've bought it anyways, it just sucks to be played like a fool :hateit:

If you have the seller's contact info, I would rip him a new one for being a dingus and selling it to you like that.

I told everything about my experience with Nintendo customer service. So please if you feel like trolling today (a bad day), go somewhere else please, thank you.

Yes I know, but I rather let karma do it for me. Wasting more time and adding another headache to my already chronic pain, is not ideal for me. Thank you guys. Now on the same subject, does anybody knows a way to unbann your console? I heard there was a way to clone your Mac on the Wii, could there be something similar on WiiU?

Cheers and thanks again to everyone.

If we manage to spoof SSL Certificate checks then maybe.
For now, you'll have to stick with Browserhax.

That still wouldn't help. Nintendo bans consoles on a device ID and NNID basis, which is why this is strange. Like I said, my 3DS received a console ban for pirating a leaked game, which resulted in the NNID being banned, but only on it. My Wii U is still perfectly fine, and it's using the same NNID. It sounds to me like the dude OP purchased the console from got busted for online cheating or something else.

Hay una forma de comprar con una consola banneada de eshop, tecnicamente solo bannean el numero de serie de la consola, pero se puede seguir comprando con el mismo nnid

There is a way to buy with a console banned eshop, technically the ban is for the serial number of the console, but you can continue to buy with the same nnid

According to the old user, he bought a code from the Internet for a 3DS game. And it so happened that the code was purchased from a shady seller. The seller probably made a charge back to Nintendo using his credit card, that is how this is from what I've read, and companies are super sensitive about this.

And I repeat, only the WiiU is banned, accounts work perfectly, the Eshop is banned completely though, no matter the user, the time, the day, the NID, the country or if I am green or red.

If there is anyway to do this, please count me in as a guinea pig! I mean, there are so few people with permanent banned consoles that I would be willing to be a tester! :)

If you had read my comments, you'd know that indeed I have, they were super rude, made me waste my time, my money (by calling from Argentina to the US) because they only have numbers in the US and my self respect after they treated me like scum. Will never call ever again, I was very polite and the guy was just imposible to talk to, he would hardly let me speak at all, horrible experience.

By the way the customer "specialist" was a Colombian accented scumbag, probably the son of a lowlife drug dealer, we both spoke spanish of course. You guys certainly receive quite some trash from latin america (honestly the guy was SUPER agressive), there are great people here, this guy in particular was very "old style" latin like, we are not like that anymore here.

No matter, I consider this petition resolved, thank guys!! You guys are the best!

I'm surprised, and disappointed, that Nintendo weren't willing to unban the console after you demonstrated that you bought the console from someone else who didn't advertise its banned nature. Have you tried contacted them via email or social media, or something?

I assume that https://gbatemp.net/threads/how-to-unban-a-wii-u-102-2814-complete-guide.477484/ doesn't help? I'm afraid I'm not familiar with what you should do from here...

Is it the "102-2815" ban that user @y0shim@ri0 says was fixed by that method in the post https://gbatemp.net/threads/how-to-unban-a-wii-u-102-2814-complete-guide.477484/page-4#post-7502199 ?
