Recently got a switch but have a monitor with no speakers and there's nowhere on the monitor to put speakers for when the switch is in docked mode.
any solutions that don't require buying another monitor?

Thanks.

What I'm saying is that the Switch was poorly designed and so rushed to market that they didn't notice or care that electro magnetic interference affects the sound quality from the headset port. You will often hear a rattling interference in BotW or Mario Odyssey for example. I personally use USB audio instead for that reason. This may or may not be an issue with the new red box Switches.
Another option to consider would be a HDMI audio extractor
