Hacking Anyone else experiencing in-game freezes in GTA CW?

I agree that it has something to do with the 1.54 firmware. When the game first came out I was playing it on the latest beta firmware at that time(1.54B I believe), and I had not one single freeze. I wasn't using a patched rom either, I was using the save fix cheat. Once I updated to stable 1.54, bam...the game would start freezing. And others were reporting the same problem on the TC forums after updating to 1.54.

I have played this game for hours on my DS-Linker and Supercard DSOne to test this, and not one single freeze.

So I defintely think it's a problem with 1.54 and not the memory cards.

Anyone has the firmware before the latest update? I agree with what he/she said, no lagg or freezes happend when I played with the older firmware.

yeah a link to that would be great! Then I can downgrade and play GTA without the fear of it freezing and saving every couple of minutes.

To force a downgrade, you must hold Down+B after turning on your DS.

Ahh I used the firmware 1.4B2 I think it was 3rd newest on that list. When I turned on my DS, it just asked to update it to that firmware. :S, I didn't hold down+b so does that mean it didnt update? I tried the clean gta rom w/o the ar code and it still worked. When I tried FF CC Echoes and when I tried to save it said something about save wont work. So does that mean it downgraded or something messed up?

Well what does it say on the bottom of the screen? It should tell you what firmware version you are using.
I think that for beta firmware, it always updates even if it is older than your current firmware.
Although in my opinion, you shouldn't be using it; I'd go with 1.51.

Out of curiosity, what is special about 1.51? Does it work with gta and ff:eit?

i had no freezes when i was using the arm patch then i changed to the clean version when the new firmware came out and i keep getting freezes, slow downs and the map not loading and at one point buying things actually gave me money instead of spending it
