Aliexpress replacement 2ds xl top screen too dim, hwcal0.dat needed?

I recently repaired my top screen on my 2dsxl and noticed its too dim. 3dsident says its ips, which the 2dsxl never had oem. Other threads mention getting hwcal0.dat files from a good setup will help, does someone have and ips top and tn bottom 2ds xl setup available and can share?

If not, is there a way to independently set the backlight to increase the screen brightness? Luma's screen filters don't help.

2ds line doesn't have ips screen.

yes I know, my replacement 2ds xl aliexpress screen is ips though, according to 3dsident.

There is no 2ds xl ips hwcal0.dat

Thanks, that sounds like it'll work for me! Its not done though, is there a way to get luma to increase just hte backlight of the top screen? THe max is 142 right now is there a config file where this can be edited?

Don't think so, you should have gotten the screen off a 2ds xl instead.
