Hacking about to get PS vita , what i need to know ?

hi , i am about to get PS vita
it will be the first sony portable device i get , so i don't have PSP

is it better to get the OLED version or the slim version ?
what frameware is safe for hacking ? is it like the 3DS and you have to be in a certain frameware to hack ?

any guide ?

The OLED version have a better/bigger screen, but the Slim version have a better battery life.

The best firmware for hacking a Vita is 3.18, but all the them have been hacked with some amount of success. For example, while the current firmware, 3.50, is hackable, but it also the most limiting firmware thus far. If you're looking for a more detailed explanation, go to the pinned thread.

As for which Vita you should get, I can't really help you there. I went with the micro console route and bought a Vita TV.

The Vita isn't really hacked enough to make it worth it if you don't intend to buy games. Just get a cheap PSP and hack that instead.
