Sooooo... If I follow all Punderino's guide steps but powering off my Wii U after dumping sector 1090000 then should be possible to have a working rednand? Maybe I'll try it.

Thank You!

8gb consoles can use all of this stuff, got mine setup without a hitch. You just need to make sure the nand dump gets past sector 1090000 and then power of the console. Like @punderino has said there is no risk of brick from dumping your nand as it is only reading and not actually writing.

I wanted to apologize for my crazy posts earlier, there was, admittedly, some things I wasn't 100% clear about, and I took it upon myself to find out by hopping on IRC and getting a straight answer from the developers. They are confirmed to be working on a more stable NAND dumping program that will support 8 and 32 GB models. As of now, there's no ETA, but the fact they're working around the hard-coding issues gives me and a lot of users comfort, so once more, I do apologize,. This week has been crazy and awesome with all the Wii U news, keep it up, guys ^_^ :P I'll be testing this out as soon as I can get a working fw.img.

So we get to that offset, wait till it gets past it, then turn off the console, nice :P

Question: Can you just install anything with a blank title with that IMG?
With the sig patches? I haven't tried. What do you mean by title?

--------------------- MERGED ---------------------------

Are the Nand dumps console unique , would they work on a different console ?
They are console-unique.

Well as it patches sig checks you can install pretty much anything you want. Just be ready for RedNand bricks so have a backup image of your sd saved away somewhere before you install stuff.

Fun fact: SALT's NAND dumper only has to be run once and is guaranteed to get a valid dump =P of course it's still not polished either which is why it's not public
IOSUHAX is only a temporary solution for the people who want cfw and fun stuff now :P

Usually when such a big title leaks the Temp will be the first to report about it (going off of historical reports here, Pokemon SV being the latest one I can recall seeing pop up here)

No real point since movies are 30fps

Not a big movie buff, more of a gamer tbh. And Series X is 120hz 8k ready, but yea only 120hz 4k games out right now, but thinking of in the future.

  • BigOnYa @ BigOnYa:
I got my Dad a firestick for Xmas and showed him those 3rd party sites on Kodi, he loves it, all he watches anymore. He said he has got 3 letters from AT&T already about pirating, but he says f them, let them shut my internet off (He wants out of his AT&T contract anyways)
