First of all:
where can I find a new unopened 2000 model vita that will have < 3.60 firmware? Is it still possible to buy a new one on amazon and it'll be low firmware? Reason I want 2000 model is due to the 1000 model screens shitting out on you after awhile.

Secondly:
Is it possible to put a 1000 model motherboard inside of 2000 model system or are they incompatible? Because I did find a cheap 1000 mobo that has < 3.60 firmware on it.

Any help will appreciated!

p.s. I don't want a ps tv because I'm always playing my games on the go.

yeah I saw that version on google as well. That version is extremely expensive. Believe me when I say i extensively google things before asking, and even after asking. Not to be rude. I should have asked this question specifically:

If I got a new 2000 model from amazon, not a used one, would it be on a firmware less than 3.60? Some say yes if it's new bc they stopped production on vita's in USA so it should be less than 3.60. My issue being, I don't use amazon very often so i have no idea if it would just be a "new" to them item that wasn't really new. No idea. Just paranoid.

My old 1000 model is having ghosting effects on it and I don't leave it on the same screen either. I just play games. Which lead me to my second question, could I just put my motherboard in a 2000 model, but I have a feeling not.

Sorry m8, wasnt my day. Sure, its expensive. But thats how it is since the Vita came out.
Why exactly do you want a new one?
There are so many unsatisfied users with a 1000or2000 for around 100-150 bucks on ebay, craigslist etc. And they are mostly as new.

Cant say anithing about the amazon version, since i mostly buy this stuff used. ^^

About your second question: Have you looked at the link?
Its a photo with all 3 motherboards (1000wifi%3g +2000). There you can see, that it wouldnt fit.
