We don't actually know whether this is fake or not, apparently the makers are claiming that the guy who leaked the BETA put the stuff in there;
All's we can really do is wait for tommorow, the initial release date.

But what im asking myself is why not some other repectable team, or at least a KNOWN one such as GEN, not say or at least had a break through with 6.20 CFW already

I mean dnt get me wrong, i hope this is true, but really fishy.

You know it is somewhat like the PS3, when every know and then we saw people claiming they have mod chips and such blah blah blah.

That's like Microsoft saying "hey you guys make software for windows 8 before we even start or we wont release it."

Sigh, this situation could be a lot worse than it is right now, luckily most games are still working on 5.50 GEN (SOCOM 3 for example).

On a side note, I don't see how the author of this MAD CFW could fix all those issues in 2 days. The firmware is severely buggy, and at it's current state isn't even worth trying. I can't justify trading the entire PSP library along with the homebrew for a game that I don't even care about.

They work, usually the poster will say "all current FW". SOCOM3 doesn't work on M33, but there is a guy who posted a patched version that supposedly works. I don't know for sure, I'm using GEN D3 now. the M33 patched ones are decrypted ones, whereas the clean ones are decrypted by GEN. If it's already decrypted, GEN starts the ISO without decrypting. There may be exceptions.

That's not what they said. They don't want to release their 6.20 CFW because
A) Its still buggy and they're still improving it
B) They want to make a compatibility layer for 5.xx homebrew so that homebrew doesn't HAVE to be recoded.

You really want them to release a buggy, unfinished CFW? They've posted up the problems they've had with it here Its in English so read.

As for Mad-001. The kid shows SOME coding expertise and promise but I'm still sceptical and will be steering well clear until the PSP-1000 problems are cleared fully (I really should make a Pandora battery...)
