Hacking 4.0.3 Entry or Manual 5.5.1 update?

I'm on 4.0.3 (bought used recently). Is there an entry point for this? If not is there a way to update to 5.5.1 without a game disc? For PS3 you used to just put any firmware on a flash drive and update. If a disc is required, is there a complete list of disc games that have 5.5.1?
