emuNAND 9.9. rxTools 2.6

1. I've installed the a 3DS CIA, can I delete the CIA from my SD card root or must it stay there?
Looks like a no. Deleted it, yet the game is still on my emuNAND selection.

2. Where are my saves located? Can I pull them right from my SD card?

3. I'd like to play JPN games (Namely the patched version of the new Fire Emblem.) Can I install them using FBI and run them right out of my emuNAND?

4. I have a backup of both my emuNAND and sysNAND, if I accidentally update my 3ds sysNAND, can I downgrade with software only or will I need to hardmod?

5. What is CFW?

6. Is there any more vital software you'd recommend I outfit my 3DS with?

2. They are stored on the SD card, though I'm not exactly sure where. You can use SaveDataFiler to get them.

4. If sysNAND is updated to a non-exploitable version, a hardmod is currently the only way to downgrade.

5. Custom Firmware. rxTools, ReiNAND and Pasta are all custom firmwares. Basically they are modified versions of the system software with modified and extra features.

6. BigBlueMenu or DevMenu and SaveDataFiler are the two apps I'd recommend. Other than that, just get things you want!

What options do I have to update a 8.1j n3DS to 9.0-9.2? I know there's Yifan Lu's method, but isn't there some PC program that will download all the .cias I need, then I just install them to sysnand?

If I create an NNID in my sysNAND, and have an unlinked emuNAND, can I do a systransfer to the emuNAND and then have two NNIDs on one system? If not, can I download a game with one NNID, get a new NNID, but still access the game?

I've been using Sky3DS on my old 3DS XL (fw 9.5) for a couple of months now due to not being able to run Gateway and just recently bought a N3DS XL that came with fw 9.0 and I have couple of questions about transfering to Gateway

Q: Is there a way to transfer my save files I have on my Sky3DS onto Gateway?

Q: Is it possible to update games via eShop on emunand or should I install the updates in .cia format found on sites like 3dsiso.com?

Q: Is it possible to downgrade to fw 4.5 on N3DS, and what's the benefit in doing that rather than staying on fw 9.0?

Hey guys, I'm about to get myself a Gateway card, I already have OOT purchased. What will I need to get the save file onto the cart? I'm looking at save managers like Datel and Action replay, I'm not sure which one is viable. And will I be able to backup my previous save, use the OOT exploit, then restore to my own save file?

Maybe you have to unlink the nands? You can do so by formatting emunand if im correct. Im not so sure if its like the case when cia's gets unwrapped every after boot which is solved by unlinking the nands. With that, in my case I have no problems though playing US OR online in a jap n3ds with US cia update installed.

Still doesn't work. I have formatted my emunand, reinstalled devmenu and the update .cia in EUR, still not working. Can you tell me how exactly did you do to get that work? I mean, all the steps?

I have a o3dsXL on 4.5. I have a nand.bin of the current setup. Can I update to a higher FW (9.2) to play retail carts that arent working on 4.5, then when I'm done, use the GW launcher to resore the 4.5 nand.bin? (I do have a cart to load the profile exploit).

He's releasing the requirements tonight, he hopes - but delays do happen. Next week the actual hack should be released. Tonight it's only information so people can get prepared.

From what I've heard he is releasing freehax which will allow access to ninjhax access without either cubic ninja or Ocarina of time after the very first time, so you'll still need it for the first time. Highly doubt it will allow access for playing .3ds or .cia games. I'll cross my fingers with you though.

Hi, I'm still confused about the save files issue... Just got my Gateway, haven't used it yet.

1) If I installed the latest FW emuNAND (whatever the number is right now) and stayed on 9.2 sysNAND (old 3DS), could I still use my retail cartridge Bravely Default saves on whatever-NAND, or they'd appear corrupted? I understand it'd be a problem if I downgraded to sysNAND 4.x, but I'm not sure what happens when I keep the current sysNAND FW. In other words, should I finish the game first, or I'm safe to use Gateway as long as I don't downgrade the sysNAND?

2) The same question, this time for the eShop (actually bought) version of Phoenix Wright: Dual Destinies, and Pushmo/Crashmo. Will their save files stay usable?

i have a 3ds with 3.0.0-6u with the browser version 1.7455, if i update my 3ds with a smash 3ds cartridge, what will i be able to do with it?

can i use the gateway rop payloads with my browser version to execute rxtools or any other cfw? or wait until someone figures it out for the spider exploit?

New3ds xl, fw 9.5. Better to stay with this at 9.5 (i've CubicNinja too to use the exploit) or i should update to 9.9 ?
More chance to see a CFW on 9.5 or not?
