I believe you just do a system format on it from the settings.
What exactly does a System format remove? I just don't want anything to happen to A9LH.

Also, is there any chance I can keep my CIAs (I have all of them backed up someplace else, but it would save me the time to install them) by using something like tinyformat?

Thanks for ignoring my post completely, I guess..?
Hello!

I tried to use the pkhex on my 2ds cfw RX-E 11.~
I opened it with the homebrew launcher, but there wasn't the option to choose my pokemon OR, just system settings was in the list.
Any ideas?

thanks in advance

Is there a way to launch an A9lh 3DS without CFW?
If you don't use system format, you cannot unlink your id properly. Is there not a option to manage nnid from settings?

Are you using the latest version of "PCHEX++" Cause "PKHEX" is a PC utility that requires modifying save data from extrating it from game and re injecting it into game. If you are using the homebrew app please make sure you are using latest version.

Oh thank you this looks good.
But I still have a question >_<

Can I update the fw without losing the homebrew launcher/functions later on?
Can't find anything about that in the FAQ. >_<
If you follow that guide to the end of Part 3, you will be left with a system has a 9.2 sysNAND and an 11.0 emuNAND. DO NOT UPDATE YOUR 9.2 SYSNAND OTHERWISE YOU WILL SCREW YOURSELF OVER. Do all of your gaming on your 11.0 emuNAND.

Luma3DS is the current standard, follow https://github.com/Plailect/Guide/wiki to set up a9lh with Luma. You can stop after part 3 if you wish but recommended to continue to the end. The backups will be installed to the SD card.

There used to be a guide to getting a console under 9.3 but now 9.2 is quite rare on a new console so it's out of date. You really want a console on 10.5 or less to be able to do everything for free (10.6 and 10.7 you'll have to buy an exploit game, 11.0 requires hardmod or second 3DS already exploited, plus buying an eShop game, plus an exploit game). If you have a choice it's better to buy new in a physical shop so you can return it for another if it's not 10.5 or less.
Got a new N3DS XL, it is on version 9.6, what do I need to do in order to run CFW on it? (A9LH + Luma) ?

If you have access to the Homebrew Launcher, you can start at Part 2 to downgrade to 9.2. Then follow the rest of the guide that was given in the post that you quoted.

If you don't have access to the Homebrew Launcher, start from Part 1.

Yes go to part 2, put all of the files into the right places as described. Do the oot3dhax method to launch the Homebrew Launcher. Start menuhax_manager once and go back again (is explained in the guide as well). When back in the Homebrew Launcher, open PlaiSysUpdater to downgrade and follow just as the guide says. When you are downgraded, hopefully on first try ;) you can then use browser and menuhax again.

Here it shows you how to update from which firmware version to 9.2
How many tries did the downgrade take you? Which is better for downgrade, sysupdater or plaisysupdater?

Do you mean to open the the tool or to actually downgrade ? From 3 times that i used it to downgrade, it worked 2 times on the first try and one time i had to do it twice.

I got the Google Pixel Pro buds, they're good enough for when I need portable audio. And some really cheap IEMs that Dankpods recommends, I think the KZ ZSN Pro

I'd stick with cheapo Chinese $10 ones quality is actually becoming on pair with name brand since name Brand usually quads the price up anyway loose one bud that's another $200

My Pixel Pro buds shit the bed a month or two ago. My wireless charger (which they do support Qi charging) absolutely COOKED them. Caused some problem that caused the case to heat up to 180F+
  • Sicklyboy @ Sicklyboy:
They were like 9 months out of warranty but I hit up Google support anyway and told them how hot they were getting and they replaced them with new ones because they wanted these for failure analysis lol

    lol wireless charging
  • K3Nv2 @ K3Nv2:
Yeah that's why I can't bring myself to even spend $100 on wireless earbuds

I think it's a cool idea but damn
  • Sicklyboy @ Sicklyboy:
Apparently the case has a problem with >15W wireless chargers. Google design fault, that one.
  • K3Nv2 @ K3Nv2:
I could live with wireless charging if the damn standard case doesn't block connection

    Copper conducting electricity or something
  • Sicklyboy @ Sicklyboy:
@Xdqwerty, power through a coil of wire causes an electromagnetic field to be generated. Another coil of wire can be set up to harness the power from that electromagnetic field and turn it into usable energy for charging a device
