Time doesn't necessarily matter for the 3DS, as long as you understand 24-hour time the same way as 12-hour. Frankly, there's nothing I can think of that can resolve the problem, I'm afraid. Maybe change the country to US?

It's pretty simple you just need to subtract 12 from the time.

If the time is 13.00 then just take 12 away from the 13 so you have 1pm.

For 14.00 hours take 12 away from the 14 and you get 2pm.

19.00 would be 19 minus 12 so 7pm.

Then we get to the twentys where you are sill just subtracting 12.

So 20.00 minus 12 would be 8.pm
21.00 minus 12 would be 9.pm
22.00 minus 12 would be 10.pm
23.00 minus 12 would be 11.pm

Reading military time is easy, but honestly I'd prefer 12hrs, too.

13hrs = 1
16hrs = 4
17hrs = 5
23hrs = 11
00hrs = 12

It just looks kinda weird, is all.

And this is why I weep for the youths of today. They are all a bunch of work-shy illiterate lazy fucking bastards that can't even be arsed to take the 1 minute it takes to learn how to use a 24-hour clock.

Yep, after all this site has been dealing with whiny lazy brats on this website. At the end of the day, they're just kids that don't know any better.

that's pretty non-progressive of you, some people have a learning disability that makes it hard to do quick math like that

You don't even need to do the math you just need to remember 13.00 is 1pm and so on. If people are able to type things on the temp they are smart enough to learn how to tell the time.

A kind of petty response if you ask me. Growing up with a learning disability was quite tough, I wasn't doing well with Maths and had to get tons of help regarding on learning how time works and subtraction. I'm able to do these just fine, but there are people out there who still need help, so its not just you.

In Canada (at least where I live), we've been using military time for the media (TV and radio) since several decades. So everyone knows it very well. But in common communication between individuals (that means talking to someone face to face) we use the good old 12 hours system, and specify PM if needs be. No confusion at all, heh! :D

It's just strange for me I guess to find out that people can't use a 24 hour clock. Here we learn it in our first year at School (age 5) and everyone uses the 24 hour clock.

Also for the record I am severely dyslexic so do understand the struggles others may have in certain things.

for anything over 12 just subract 2, then forget whatever digit was first

13 - 2 = 11, forget the first digit and it's 1

20 - 2 = 18, forget the first digit and it's 8

if you think subtracting 12 is hard just think of it as subtracting 2 instead

this is unironically what I do (don't laugh at me euro bros)
