There's no denying that most if not all emulators out there rely on leaked docs and SDKs. It's fine though since we can just pretend that the code is a result of clean room RE.
The folks behind GW aren't stupid. They won't release it before NA/EUR n3ds is out and risk getting their undisclosed exploit fixed. It's business after all.
It really isn't. ARM11 is an ancient design as well. Sure, UltraHLE also ran fullspeed back then but it doesn't mean games were actually playable.
Emulate? Sure. Run them at acceptable speed and accuracy? No.
Yes, we already do. Code execution on arm11 has been possible for a long time. And pica is an abomination of a gpu that isn't useful for emulators anyway.
3ds isn't even capable of proper gba/sens emulation unless you count terrible speedhack emus, frameskipping and completely ruined audio. Also, forget about psx since there's no open source emu that could be used for a base and nobody is going to bother to write a JIT dynarec for that. It's a...
Nope, a puny 10 year old arm SoC is of absolutely no interest to me in this day and age. The cheapest chinese arm7 devices with NEON are several times faster and much cheaper than a 3DS.
No, this is actually the end of 3DS itself and a stopgap before its successor. Developers won't really bother with it since it's simply not profitable and because you can't just ignore a 40mln install base. This is DSi all over again.
If you don't care about backups then there's no reason to wait. There are far better n64 or ps1 emulators for x86 or arm already and region lock doesn't seem to be an issue with wii u anyway.
That seems to be the case however VC emus are just quickly thrown together hacks meant to emulate specific games. 3DS itself does not have the power required for proper GBA or SNES emulation so I'm afraid you are in for disappointment.
