I have some newb questions. Was broserhaxx this when you opened wj44.ml to get to the homebrew browser? My Wii U probably updated already, I didn't use it recently
but I had it in Standby Mode. So there's currently no way to use the kernel exploit and homebrew browser?

No, you are screwed. I accidentally updated too... And I didn't have Coldboot Haxchii I think is called, because I bought a console that came permanently banned from Eshop (I was scammed by the seller).

Hello,

Why not do as Nintendo for those who are ine 5.5.2?

Let me explain...

If you can have a custom firmware that says to be in version 5.5.3 for example...
You put this custom on a website.

You change the DNS of your Wii U... The DNS of On the website where the CFW is located...
In this website you change hostfile for rederict official nintendo DNS (in this host).

Check Upgrade and.... Bingo? :-o
:)

No... Not that easy :)
But an idea?

It doesn't work like this.
Nintendo updates uses HTTPS and certificates to be sure that you're on the official update website

That's not good. So we have to wait for a new ingenious exploit now, don't we? *sigh* I didn't expect that Nintendo would update the Wii U again. I thought they
are through with it and happy to be moving on with the Switch.

Is what most people thought, me included. Nintendo is just fucking with us, there is no other reason for an update if you really think about it. Shit, Nintendo should thank us anyways, cause for better or for worse, we are the people buying their hardware.

That's why I installed Haxchi when I first modded my WiiU on 5.5.1. So I don't have to worry about the browser entry point.

You should of used Haxchi or CBHC.

And if you didn't use Haxchi, then yes you will have to wait for another Entry point to be found.

I started my Wii U yesterday to see if it really updated by itself, and fortunately, it didn't! I noticed it was unplugged all the time and not in Standby Mode. I quickly installed
Haxchi. I consider to update now but first, can anyone confirm that Haxchi still works on 5.5.2? Thank you!

Yes, Haxchi works on 5.5.2, but only if you install Haxchi on 5.5.1 first. Since there is no entry point for 5.5.2 yet.

However, we still don't know everything about 5.5.2, so update at your own risk.

Is there a tut to show how? I am obviously blinded as I have been googling for hours to see how.

I downloaded wup installer gx 2 installable channel from here https://gbatemp.net/threads/release-wup-installer-gx2-rpx-channel.456199/ but now what?
You install them with WUP Installer. The same way you install a game with WUP Installer. Load up HBL via Haxchi, launch WUP Installer from there, and install what ever apps you have in your install folder on your SD Card.

However, first you need to make sure your already in CFW with SigPatches, because installing Channels require SigPatches/CFW, and so does launching them after they are installed on your home menu.

That is my issue then. I can boot Haxchi no problem - but I have no way of getting into HBL. How do I install HBL as a channel from Haxchi?

When you set up Haxchi, did you set it up so you can launch HBL by pressing a button when you press the Haxchi Icon? It should be in the configuration file for Haxchi. The configuration file should have the buttons that say which shortcuts they are setup for.
