I'm so tired of soft resetting for entai and raikou, for a shiny. I've been at it for like a week now (Got my shiny suicune.) I'll give lati-whatever a shot ;D

But I know, it's not the same feeling.
So what is RNG abusing? For me, there's a difference between just... editing for a shiny and actually earning one. I just don't get the same feeling when cheating lol.You could always try RNG abusing

It's basically predicting the pseudo-random number generator of the games and triggering the encounter at a specific point in time to encounter a Pokemon with the stats you specify. It makes oyu able to get shiny Pokemon with 6 perfect IVs and is generally just really fun to do. It's also pretty easy once you get the hang of it.
I just love doing it because I like learning about technical things like this.
one thing I love about my shiny suicune is that it is random. It has a gentile nature (of course not what I want for a shiny suicune, but) it is legit random. I don't want to give a certain nature or stats to my legend. I want it to be as random as it would be wiht a soft reset. Would this work for my needs?It's not cheating though

So Norman says I need to learn about mega evolution first... but I did. Granted, I did use PKhex. I wonder what flag triggers him to be like, "Fuck that, you can go to Southern Island now"?

Well...I mean of course you could just go for a random nature and stats but the thing is that you'd always know beforehand.one thing I love about my shiny suicune is that it is random. It has a gentile nature (of course not what I want for a shiny suicune, but) it is legit random. I don't want to give a certain nature or stats to my legend. I want it to be as random as it would be wiht a soft reset. Would this work for my needs?

Here's a screenshot of the 3DS RNG Tool which I've currently set up to hatch shiny eggs. This tells me that I'd get a shiny at frame 1794 and also tells me the exact IVs and nature that the Pokemon will have. So no, it isn't really random.
About Norman and the Mega Evolutions: You can only use the Eon Ticket after you've got your first Eon Pokemon. In Alpha Sapphire you first encounter Latias right after the 5th badge (before going to Fortree City). After you've got Latias, you should be able to talk to Norman to go to the Southern Island to get Latios.
You can use the plugin by installing NTR CFW.
damn. I did talk to Steven and got Lati-whatever though. I guess I'm missing a flag somewhere. Maybe I have to re-do a gym, legitimately. damn. Not going to mess with that. I don't want to fuck up my save file any more than it already is, lol. Damnit. No it actually has nothing to do with Soft Resetting. Basically, in the case of legendaries, you'd save your game right in front of the legendary and then restart your game and load your save file. Then you'd wait for a certain amount of time and then trigger the encounter (as in, hitting A) at a very specific time that the RNG tool tells you and then if you did everything right you'll surely get the Pokemon with the same exact stats that you wanted.damn. (Before anyone here starts bashing me, I know that my explanation isn't completely accurate, I just wanted to give the OP some amount of insight)
