Today I was messing with some Gamecube games with nintendont (vWii) but I noticed occasional frame drops... for example Crash Bandicoot : The Wrath of Cortex, occasionally suffers from low FPS, but when I watched a youtube video showing the same game it was running very smooth without any noticeable frame drops!

Does Nintendont suffer from FPS problems with some games?
The GameCube port is like that sadly.

Some games have Frame Rate issues when run through the SD Slot but this game has issues on a real GameCube.

The GameCube versions is way better than the PS2 versions which takes 5 minutes or so to load a level and forbid you enter the wrong level (which I've done on the PS2 version numerous times)

no game has framedrops on nintendont at all unless they had it on the original gc that is, heck most games were double speed since the wii has a faster cpu so nintendont actualy patches them so they run at the gc speed, that game is very very badly coded and drops frames like crazy on the gc, the ps2 version doesnt drop frames but has long load times, the best version of this game i think its the xbox.

Unless you were using the SD Slot then sometimes you would get very mild drops on some games.

The funny thing is I never noticed any issues playing Crash: Wrath of Cortex on my GameCube years ago. Maybe the NTSC-U version is better who knows.

unless you had a very slow sd i guess, like i said some games had framedrops on the original gc and so they will have it on nintendont too, since thats how its coded.

Hi! I use Wii U and I install Homebrew Launcher 2.1, but I can't view Nintendont (I can see only elf homebrew). How can I use Nintendont?

Just wanted to say that I love Nintendont. I played through the entirety of Battle for Bikini Bottom on my Wii U, and now I have Super Mario Sunshine running at 60fps on it. Amazing work, amazing program.

Thanks for the information. So I see Nintendont doesn't have an impact on gaming performance, it runs exactly as the original.
(Never owned a gamecube before :P , I was a Playstation 1/2/3/4 guy until I felt in love with the WiiU and ditched the PS4 !!)

The Wii is basically a souped up GameCube and the Wii U has a built-in Wii mode that run Wii games natively at 100% compatibility. Very little is actually being emulated. Only certain things that the Wii and Wii U don't have are being emulated. Everything else is running natively.

Any game in particular? I never noticed anything and I play exclusively out of the SD slot, never thought playing out USB actually makes any difference lol.
I only ever noticed it with Mario Kart Double Dash in the intro video. Once I determined it was due to the slow SD Slot I started using a USB SDXC Card Reader and the slowdowns in the intro video went away still using the same SD Card. I didn't play enough games using the SD Slot to notice any other games having issues.

Thanks, I'll keep an eye out for this. It honestly never occurred me it made any difference playing out of SD or USB.

Tried the last version with the "Mario Kart Arcade GP" and it works quite well. There is only minor bugs:
- When cross the finish line there is always a between one-two seconds "halt".
- The game "card" is not working Ok. I can create one but when I try to save the results on it, the process never finish.
- The game camera doesn´t work :)

Is there any configuration to solve any of this annoyances?

Thank you in advance!

Always post what exact version you're using and your settings. "Latest" doesn't necessarily mean you're actually using the latest version.

Can someone please help me it would take too long to explain so here's a topic I made on it: https://gbatemp.net/threads/issue-with-nintendont-usbloadergx.475239/#post-7417063 basically I keep getting this DSI exception error and I can't even turn my console off(have to manually unplug it and i'm pretty sure I fucked my wiiU gamepad charging cable as I think it caused a shortage..) i'm about ready to give up on this whole gamecube vwii thing as nothing I ever do seems to work. I honestly might just get a wii at this point and hack that instead because I remember them being a lot easier to do that with.

tl;dr please read my topic and see if you can help me?
