Going back to something that was mentioned a few pages back in this thread... I was wondering if anyone has had any luck at all trying to get Medicat to boot on EFI ONLY systems? I have a Surface 3, and it's EFI doesn't support Legacy Boot at all :( If anyone has any tips or workarounds or alternatives, that would be super great!!

The only thing I can imagine is trying to pretty much rebuild the whole bootCD with a multi-boot-loader that supports EFI :blink:

If you know how, I'm all ears, and the standalone Mini Windows 10 ISO supports UEFI booting.

I've used the Google Drive syncing app in Windows to upload the MediCat DVD ISO this time, so if anyone can tell me if it's fixed, that would be a big help. (It's strictly the uncompressed 10GB ISO file.) The hashes from hashes.txt match on my end.

I'll test it, should be done downloading in 5 hours. Unfortunately won't be able to test it immediately as I'm going out for all you can eat pizza tonight with the family.

[EDIT] Ok, so finally got a chance to test it, the MD5 I get is d1498c35da23fd35b85db1842cd4ff42, I assume this is correct, didn't bother to check with hashes.txt.

Notice some issues, when I use Rufus 2.15 to install it to my 32GB flash, first off I love rufus but why the hell do you have to change your file system before you can select ISO, I prefer the old method where you select the ISO and it changed the file system for you, but still easy to use regardless just more click involved, not really something you can fix just wanted to b*tch about that lol.

Anyways the problem comes when I use Rufus to install it I get two errors, I only screenshotted the first but they're both the same essentially just different files.

Now I selected yes on both screens thinking it would be fine, btw the files it updated were for syslinux 4.07, it was menu.c32 and vesamenu.c32. But now the menu options appear but when I select them it either just stays on a black screen for one or gets stuck on grub. Hope this info helps.

F**k, I thought hey google drive sync sounds like a good idea to get the iso file, I still get and MD5 of d1498c35da23fd35b85db1842cd4ff42 when I download the file using that not the one in the hashes.txt file.

[EDIT] Using the torrent file I have successfully downloaded the ISO :D I will seed till a new version is released. I got an MD5 of 63feb037f5cc42ad5f9d7930c0db9022. I don't understand why syncing with Google Drive and downloading with mega was so unreliable. But at least it works now. Will continue testing.

I finally made a torrent, and have been seeding it for a day and a half, with a garbage upload speed of 1.5 Megabytes per second. Hopefully it's seeding properly.

I noticed, the torrent completed for me in two seconds because I had a bad ISO already in my torrent directory from google drive and the torrent just fixed what was wrong and downloaded it with the correct MD5

Thanks for the ed2k links but 007 is corrupt if you went with the new MD5 in hashes.txt. He changed the MD5 in hashes.txt to the corrupt file, don't know why but it will not extract correctly. The correct MD5 for it is E4E108212816BEED9EA9364C65711A7B

I'm actually preferring people use the torrent instead, but thank you for your work.

A friend made a multiboot usb with Windows installation iso + Medicat + a bunch of other stuff.
The thing is that while Medicat works in vm, it doesn't seem to work when booting the pc from the usb.
Something is wrong with medicat when used in multiboot usb with WinSetupFromUsb?

He gets this error.

He also made a video.

Thanks in advance, it would also help me since i plan on creating a multiboot usb too. :P

First of all, he's using a REALLY old version... and second, use Rufus to make it USB bootable as NTFS. If you want Multi-boot with other ISOs though, YUMI would be a better option as an Unlisted ISO (GRUB).

He tried with Rufus, no issues.
He had that problem with the latest version.

Yumi is indeed good but it doesn't have UEFI option for the Windows Installations, plus there are issues with Windows 8.1/10 if you want both ISO in the same usb.
