If SD runs out of memory, does NAND Dumper freeze whole console instantly?
[Like it calls for OSFatal() if there's no space on SD)
I haven't tested what actually happen, but the write should fail, and than it will just print an error and restart the console, I will test it. Maybe if there is an error I should wait for user input (short press on power button), so he will see the error.
I'm taking a guess based on limited info i read - but i assume that as long as i dumped it while it is working just fine, then MLC won't be needed as that is just the apps/games installed, whereas the SLC is the firmware partition.

If i brick for whatever reason (which i likely won't CBHC working fine and parental controls in place to prevent removing haxchi) then i would only need SLC and SLCCMPT.

correct me if i'm please, i like to be as informed as possible!
There are system apps on the MLC, like wii u menu, which is an important app.. if it corrupts for any reason, you are bricked.

I see - since the app writes the MLC in chunks due to fat32 limitation, is there ever a chance of pausing the dump after hitting like 16gb and allowing the user to resume after emptying the memory card?

that would be neat but i don't expect any feature like that of course. guess i'll have to back up my 64gb, do the dump then restore it :(

thank you for this awesome application.

Possibly off topic, but any recommendations for a free file host to backup the full 32gig nand?

Considered mega but the 3 month expiration for inactive accounts isn't ideal.

Just put it on a HDD and unplug it, problem solved.
Sharing or uploading it to a file host website would get you in trouble. [If you don't care, i suggest... onedrive.]

Thank you for this powerful backup Tool.
If this is based off mocha cfw. Could it be possible to change it to dump to usb thumb drive?
I was wondering that too. Also since Fix94's WUDUMP can write to FAT32 HDD... That would be great because I don't have a 64GB SD Card.

It says the files are located on the root of SD. Can someone tell me what each of the file names are? I'm working on my guide and I've now included a backup sysNAND section but mine is taking very long to backup because I chose all options as "yes". I can't pull the SD out to get the file names until it's done

slc.bin and slccmpt.bin. I haven't dumped the mlc yet but I think it's mlc.bin.

@pwsincd Mind adding it to appstore? :)

--------------------- MERGED ---------------------------

The tools are only able to verify slc and slccmpt.
Then there's no way for now :/ You have to wait. [But MLC dump straight from Wii U will always be 100% working]

It took me 5-7mins to dump SLC, SLCMTTP, SEEPROM and OTP. Nice tool :) [My SLC is 582mb big, maybe that's because i have CBHC?]
