I used to be true but you should keep in mind that the switch is not backwards compatible like the wii u or wii and it even uses a completely different architectureI don't think it works that way with games released across Nintendo consoles. If you think about it, they are specifically made to be backward compatible with at least 1 generation back, and with cross platform between their consoles in mind. The deterioration/issues can occur more when you go from PS4 to PC or Xbox to PS4 etc. Just my opinion though, not an expert on that.
Different architecture is meaningless here. BotW is most likely written in C++, which is architecture-independent (for the most part). It'll be compiled using the ARM toolchain for Switch and Green Hills Software's PowerPC toolchain for Wii U.I used to be true but you should keep in mind that the switch is not backwards compatible like the wii u or wii and it even uses a completely different architecture

Good point, forgot about that.I used to be true but you should keep in mind that the switch is not backwards compatible like the wii u or wii and it even uses a completely different architecture

Wikipedia says no u. (Assuming you're referring to the GHS part; the other stuff is all public information as well.)That's confidential information. *gasp*
Nah dude it's written in Shitposting++ZNow now.. we both know it's written in Bokoblin++
Switch version lags too. Switch version actually runs SMOOTHER at 720p in handheld mode than 900p in docked TV mode, as proven by a gamexplain video.
TV mode drops frames when the high grass at the start is on screen. Handheld mode, it does not.
So the Wii U version is 720p, it should be fine.
Plot twist: They rushed the Switch and undocked mode isn't optimized yetHOW DID THEY MISS THIS?!
Well quite easy. Wii U version had a longer development than the Switch version that only had like a year while the Wii U had 4.HOW DID THEY MISS THIS?!
Yes, I meant the Green Hills Software. I remember reading it in one of the Dev Manuals for Wii U.Wikipedia says no u. (Assuming you're referring to the GHS part; the other stuff is all public information as well.)
Did it really?Well quite easy. Wii U version had a longer development than the Switch version that only had like a year while the Wii U had 4.
Did it really?
I guess that just proves Switch was rushed
I don't want to believe that.BOTW was made from top to bottom for the Wii U, the switch version is a port.
Wait until Capcom leaks that Switch emu kappaWonder if you force set the Switch resolution to 720p on Docked mode if it'll run smoother?
makes sense... I thinkWell quite easy. Wii U version had a longer development than the Switch version that only had like a year while the Wii U had 4.
I don't want to believe that.

If anything, the "Switch emulator" is similar to what Nintendo had for early GameCube developers: a set of libraries that games can be compiled against to simulate the Switch environment. Not a full emulator.Wait until Capcom leaks that Switch emu kappa

This was used when developing Pikmin, and a copy of the "emulated" build was accidentally included on the disc: https://tcrf.net/Pikmin/Windows_Executable
