The amount of retardation we get here with every update is astounding.

Wait a minitune, doesn't your GF's son is also your son? Or you GF divorce once?I hope that they get 11.3 cracked. My GF's son just updated my 3DS to 11.3. I bought it it was 10.6. I left it at the house and went to work, he grabbed it and put in one of his 2DS games and played. While doing that, he thought he'd be nice and upgrade the firmware for me.

Hi, I have a backup with Frimware 11.2. Can I downgrade my console? No you can't downgrade from 11.3 yet, unless you have a9lh and a 11.2 NAND backup.
If you have a9lh. If you don't then you're SOL.Hi, I have a backup with Frimware 11.2. Can I downgrade my console?
Yes with a hardmod or DSiWarehax from transferring from another hacked console (assuming you don't have a9lh otherwise you would not need to downgrade).Hi, I have a backup with Frimware 11.2. Can I downgrade my console?
They're on 11.3, which patched both of those methods. They're stuck on 11.3 because they don't have a9lh.Yes with a hardmod or DSiWarehax from transferring from another hacked console (assuming you don't have a9lh otherwise you would not need to downgrade).
You can still restore a NAND backup with hardmod or DSiWarehax. 11.3 only patched booting the home menu with a lower NATIVE_FIRM.They're on 11.3, which patched both of those methods. They're stuck on 11.3 because they don't have a9lh.
Don't both of those methods lower the NATIVE_FIRM?You can still restore a NAND backup with hardmod or DSiWarehax. 11.3 only patched booting the home menu with a lower NATIVE_FIRM.
You're restoring a NAND backup though, so the whole firmware will become 11.2. Instead of 11.3 with a lower NATIVE_FIRM.Don't both of those methods lower the NATIVE_FIRM?
That makes more sense. I should not try to argue anything on less than an hour of sleep. >.<You're restoring a NAND backup though, so the whole firmware will become 11.2. Instead of 11.3 with a lower NATIVE_FIRM.
Probably not but one can dream.I wonder if sigHax will be released within the next month.
Good luck doing that when everything on the NAND aside from the FIRMs is encrypted. You could do that with xorpads, sure. But without them? If you end up with anything usable, you're either a magitek wizard, or putting Lady Luck to shame.what if we downgrade everything on computer except the 3DS boot loader, like we do in PS3 to downgrade and dump back the Nand (y)
Not possible due to the hardware encryption/console-specific keys that the 3DS utilizes. The only way to get access to the NAND and the crypto hardware needed to do this is an ARM9 exploit, at which point downgrading is not necessary (except currently to 2.1 to get the OTP).what if we downgrade everything on computer except the 3DS boot loader, like we do in PS3 to downgrade and dump back the Nand (y)
That doesn't work. CTRTransfers aren't magical console-independent NAND backups that can be restored that way. They are encrypted using the 3DS's crypto hardware during the process. You can't do a ctrtransfer with a NAND backup alone.I have a theory, CTRTRANSFER files are like NAND backups compatible for any console.
CTRNAND contains home menu data, so, what if a hardmod was made, and instead of restoring an older NFIRM, we restore a ctrtransfer.
