Oh my god... So.................. It never occurred to me to remove my DS flashcart from the slot.......
I removed it and suddenly the console boots. What the hell...............

I'm so sorry for the false alarm guys.

Definitely a clone of thevR4i Gold 3DS RTS..... That blue casing tho...
I thought the cartridge was blue as well. I would have bought one cheaply and put my Gateway's innards in the case to have a blue one.

Back to the topic, I had a similar issue on my o3DS where my DSTWO (original, not "plus") would prevent the console from booting up, but once I formatted the microSD card and put it back in the flashcart, everything was fine, with the same exact files as before.

Almost the exact same thing as described in the OP just happened to me. The only differences were that I was playing Rhythm Paradise Megamix, and the card inserted was a normal DS game (a legitimate copy of Pokemon SoulSilver) and not a flashcart. The game just froze after I opened my 3DS. I turned the 3DS off, and it wouldn't turn on. I could still access Decrypt9 and the Luma3DS configuration, but otherwise it acted as if it had been bricked. I'll admit I got pretty scared for a while, but I remembered this post and tried ejecting my DS card, and it turned on again! I guess there is a bug somewhere.

Man.... I have that card. Now I wanna know what the heck is up with this bug. How can a TWLCard be responsible for this kinda stuff?
Is it trying to start TWLMode at boot and therefore mess up the boot process or sth.?
That shouldnt be possible tho...

interesting

Since this happens with both retail real game cards and flashcarts, i remember to have read somewhere that the 3ds would refuse to boot or get stuck as if it was bricked if there were problems detecting the slot-1 card.

Also remember a case where the home menu would load up but freeze immediately afterwards.

So... I installed a Pokémon demo through some means.
It booted fine without a seed file. I closed the lid of the system to go to standby.
When I reopened it, the game had frozen. I thought my SD card was just acting up.
Turned off the system. Tried to turn it back on. It wouldn't turn on!

Tried to see if I was able to access Decrypt9. Thankfully, I was still able to access it.
But my sysNAND wouldn't boot. I reverted to a quite recent NAND backup I had, and it still won't boot.
And now I'm getting paranoid.
What did I do wrong? And how do I fix this? :ohnoes:

Thanks for any help guys.
Make an Emunand, and then try a CTRNand transfer. See if that works...

I had the exact same problem with my DSTwo.

Different set up, but my 3ds wouldn't boot with it in it. It was shortly after a transfer, after I was suppose to have copied over the contents from the other 3ds's sd card. I thought I had messed something up.

Removed it, it booted fine.

@Xdqwerty No you heard wrong, and don't believe till you experience yourself. Fallout 4 is one of my favorite games of all time. Yes it had issues early on, esp with older hardware like the xbox1, but it is awesome, esp now being 4k on Series S/X or PS5

@BigOnYa, Then i think people were talking about fallout 76

    that one was buggy too
  • BigOnYa @ BigOnYa:
Yea you right there, fallout 76 was a letdown, but it not that bad now, they have fixed slot of issues they had at launch. Biggest issue with Fallout 76 is its a pay to advance further type of game, which sucks
  • Xdqwerty @ Xdqwerty:
